We are going on referral as well. I'm hoping that we can put the tour for the last day as it will give us something to do while we are checked out waiting until our shuttle arrives. We don't think we are going to buy but my wife is interested in seeing the tour and presentation to compare to what her company does for their staff and see if they can pick up some good habits
We chose to NOT go on referral this time, (this is second time) only because the rate we otherwise got third party was quite a bit cheaper. Having said that, we did enjoy the Premier many of the Premier benefits last time. Anyone had any success commuting third party booking to Premier upgrade on site at the cost of the sit down to get something of value (e.g. Better room etc) just curious
I dressed completely inappropriately. My junk was basically hanging out. He didn’t care. Tell them you are very interested right from the start. Skip the tour and the long pitch of questions, tell them you just want to work our the numbers immediately. Get them to get you in the final room as fast as possible. Then he will give you the numbers. Say you are seriously interested and giving it a hard thought. Then he will Call his manager over to explain it further. Then pull a quick change and say you need a minute alone to think. Then say absolutely no. No thanks. We changed our minds. No thanks 12 more times. He will get verbally aggressive and excuse himself a few times. But then ur done.
I honestly enjoyed our last pitch. I had to eat anyways so we just peppered him with questions about working for Premier and his life. We skipped the tour other than I wanted to see the penthouse. We tried talking them into letting us stay there a night to decide but alas that wasn’t in their power. The sales pitch was fun but I really liked watching the process go down with how they’d refill our drinks and take breaks away for us to talk. Looking forward to doing it again in April.
The thing I did was to tell them we'd been there 7 times before, so I didn't need a tour so we could go right to the business office and start talking numbers. It should work for someone whose been there 4 times, if at least one of those was post-reno.
They say you are obligated to 90 minutes. When you arrive show them your watch set the timer and say go. 90 minutes later get up and walk out.
Id rather pay the $250. The few little "perks" you get are nothing really, and you can get most of them anyway with decent tips. Last time we went on a referral, they strung it out past 2 hours (our fault also for letting them), then he got so snarky, my wife slapped the table, said " YOU THINK WE ARE IDIOTS?? YOURE FULL OF SHIT!!" , and we walked out. Not like her to do that. Thats when you know someone has gone overboard. I dont owe them anything. I already paid for my stay. If they dont like their job....quit.
