You will likely end up doing something other than TTR, but may ending up doing it with friends you have met at TTR. There around 100 couples that are doing our third cancuncare Nawlins Make-a-Wish reunion this September. There will be another 30 or so people at our house this summer for a weekend party.

We did our first trip to TTR a couple of years ago, since then haven't felt the need or want to go anywhere else. Two to three times a year and a trip to Desire to mix it up. Just cant beat the vibe and people of TTR.

I have never been to Temptations but I have traveled a bit. I usually do not repeat the same exact vacation even if I visit the same country more than once. In places like Europe I would suggest to only purchase 5 days Max at the same hotel. Last year I prebooked 5 days in Naples and I could not wait until that time was up. Completed Naples, hopped a train, 5 days Rome, hopped EasyJet, 9 days Ibiza, Spain, hopped a flight to Frankfurt, did 4 days there, and then shot over to Dubai for 3 days. I had a freaking blast and met so many people. If you have more time then it is nice to spend more time in places but I get bored after 2 weeks. I am spending Sept 15-Dec 31st out of the country but I am not sure yet. I am looking at Oktoberfest, Amsterdam, and then maybe renting an apartment in Sydney for a month, and Perth for a month. It depends on what you are going for, I think Temptations is going to be a blast and that most people return because it's almost like you are in a club. I would not miss out on seeing other things. If you have 30 days each year that is an adequate amount of time to complete 2 places each year. South Africa (Cape Town) is also on my bucket list and the prices are great. I have been dying to do the Great White Cage thing with the sharks.

I have heard a lot of you talk about Hedo. What is the largest difference? I didn't have a want to go to Jamaica as Greg has gone and a few of my friends as well, but we weren't talking about "our" kind of vacations in those conversations; but now I am curious!

I know about the mom guilt kicking in! we have two 5 year olds, two 6 year olds and an 18 year old, all boys and they have been wanting to go to Disney World or the beach or anywhere really and we had two adult trips planned this year. I told him we will have to fit in a family vacation or I won't feel our trips are as justified. lol.

I can see TTR being popular for repeat offenders and am sure after our trip we will be on the list!

Nailed it on the head. Going to the nicest hotel in the most beautiful location for longer then a weekend would get boring. Sad, but so true. Not enough excitment going on.

Apples and oranges.. People are just as awesome, but Hedo is not as electric during the day. More mellow, but still a party atmosphere. Definitely depends on the crowd there. Some groups are a blast. Temptation is an all day and night house music party.
Hedo has a nude side, and prude side. Nude means nude.. You can be topless on the prude side. Temptation is topless only.
You will see sex at Hedo, but it can be avoided. But it's there. You might see sex at night on the beach, or in a balcony, at Temptation. Both are applauded.
There is a disco and a waterslide at Hedo, Love naked waterslide time.. Temptation had PatyO's. An outside open air bar/club with a fun DJ. Lots more house music.
The drinks are great and the food, like most all inclusives can be great. Or can suck. Depending on the chef. The last chef at Hedo sucked.. Temptation was really good last 2 times there. But there have been great ones. I still miss Roberts jerk chicken at the nude grill. Talk about awesome.. Anywho....
Booze is great at Hedo, and decent at Temptation. You have to ask for good booze at both.. But I am an Appletons fan :liebe011: , and Hedo always has a great stock of Appletons. Hell they give it out as prizes during the games.. YUM! At Temptation Appletons is top shelf for premiere only.. :(

They just got a new group ownership in at Hedo, and did a huge firing. They are also in the process of upgrading. Which is much needed. Looking forward to seeing the new and improved Hedo..
Negril, Jamaica hold my heart, and I love Hedo in a very different way than I love Temptation.. But similar..
Bottom line is "The people make the resort."

As usual, we're a little different. I get 4 weeks a year. 2 weeks every year we do May in Cancun.

Then in October we alternate between our every other year timeshare in Freeport, Bahamas. The other year we take our big trip. Have spent 5 weeks kn Australia over two trips, 3 weeks in Egypt and Jordon. China, Antiartica, several spots in South America on the list. Have 5 out of the 7 continents done, need the last 2.

So, yeah we go back, working on weeks 27 and 28 this year, cause we love the place and people. But we also go other places too. :)

It's really hard to beat TTR in our experence. After our first trip we agreed there is no way we could have this much fun and Meet so many great people anywhere else.TTR is that one place that your vacation is what you make of it.Nice romantic place that has peace and quit to relax..have a nice dinner and just spend time together OR.. Blow the damn doors off,Party like hell and do things you would never do at home.
    Personally....We LOVE option 2 :)

There is a place called North Haven not far from Detroit. It's a camping version of Hedo/TTR. Hoping to make it there this summer. My friends go ther 4/5 times over the summer.

Mel, Thanks for the great break down of Hedo. Sounds great as well. Your definitely right about the people making the place! We see that even just in local or close to home getaways.

Jamie, sounds about perfect. Once we are more set in a routine and area, that is what we were hoping for. Having a go-back spot like TTR that we can be comfortable with, know what to expect and have a blast, but also catch another vacation each year!

And Carole, you just intrigued me! That is right up my alley. I was raised more of a country girl than Greg. He says he will camp and fish with me, but I generally end up just me or with the kids. I know I could tempt him into a more country vibe with some added fun!
