Never really got into the board games except maybe chess. Of course I live in the Blythewood area (back woods as we called it growing up) full of rednecks and few geeks.
I think we're closet trekkies... but I think we let the cat out of the bag on facebook when we were having a trek movie marathon at the house :anon: :icon_surprised:
I know, right?! We were on a camping trip once with friends and ended up spending the whole time just playing Settlers over and over again.
Hell yah geeks unite total fans of real vampires that don't glitter like all from The Vampire Chronicles, Also been to an amazing con before -powermorphicon, Video games and and super hero movies are the best, and Trekkies will never live long or prosper as long as Star Wars is around
Settlers ot Catan could easily have new rules.. I will give you wood to build road but you have to take care of my wood. You need 2 wheats then I need a roll in the hay. Wow I am sure we could come up with a really cool adult version of Settlers of Catan. Don't even get me started on the sheep and ore.
We actually did bring a card game called Gloom to Cancun in January and had a fun night playing it with Trish and Russ. You just have to find the other geeks before you can set up a board game night at TTR. We play Settlers all the time, my fiance usually kicks everyone's butt.
Had so much fun, I had to buy it as soon as we got back! I also started a galactic-political debate at "White Night" wearing my "I had fiends on that Death Star" T-Shirt! Long story short, people were drunkenly arguing as to whether the rebel forces were "freedom fighters" or "terrorists"!
Totally and think about the contractors that were working on the second unfinished Death Star in return of the Jedi. They didn't necessarily agree with all the Republics ideals. hee.
