    >and Clinton even invited Taliban leaders to the US

An attempt to do a deal on a pipeline through Afghanistan to help with the USA's thirst for oil.

No deal done = whoops! Invasion time!

    >The Stock Market is now at record highs. Higher than any previous President's tenure.

Ummm. It's SLIGHTLY higher than the highest it was when Clinton was in office.

If you take inflation into account (which the stock index doesn't), it isn't anywhere near "record highs".

    >ok- maybe he is not the all-time greatest president, but here's some food >for thought: since 9/11, we have not been attacked

    Cough hack!

Who was the President in charge of national security when the attack happened?

Who was the President that gave Saudi Arabia a SPECIAL DEAL, where S.A. citizens (including MOST of the 9/11 attacekrs) could get U.S. visa's by dropping paperwork into their TRAVEL AGENT, and NEVER had to be interviewed by a U.S. immigration representative before they got their visa?

    >Like him or hate him he's done what he can to make the USA safer.

Didn't the Democratic congress JUST PASS the legislation recommended by the 9/11 Commission (port inspections etc), because the Republican congress was too busy saving brain dead women and fertilised eggs that are being thrown out by fertility clinics anyway?

    >basically, the UN is a spineless, paper organization

Because countries with hidden agendas like the USA and France have veto power on the security council.

Remove veto power and the UN would be able to act in the WORLD'S best interests, rather than being curtailed by nations who think their citizens should somehow have more rights than others.

    >Bush did what needed to be done after 9/11 to ensure that his country
    >would be protected.

Going after the instigator of the 9/11 attacks was correct.

But what's with the invasion of Iraq? Condi and Powell PRIOR to 9/11 stated that Saddam was under control and WAS NOT A THREAT to the USA.

The invasion of Iraq had ZERO to do with USA national security and had more to do with revenge - "he tried to kill by daddy". The right wing war machnie jumped on it, and the supporters have the blood of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi's on their hands. Have fun trying to wash THAT off.

    >when you bash bush, you bash the military- he is the commander-in-chief,
    >lest you forget

Glad to hear that you never and will never have a bad word to say about Clinton, or the next Democratic president.

Wouldn't want to catch you out bashing the Commander in Chief in 2 years time!

    >would you prefer a president that totally withdraws all our troops, from
    >every nation?

    Yes please.

    >should we fall into an isolationist mode

What, you mean like building a big fence on your border?

    >and let all the terror groups and their leaders actions go unchecked?

Well, if you stopped funding them and supplying them with weapons in the FIRST place, most of the crap would have never occurred.

    > bush is the only one in the white house that is not acting for the political
    >good

    Yes of course!

Flying his 747 to Washington from Texas in the middle of the night to sign special legislation to save an already brain dead woman wasn't a political move was it? Of course not!

Neither is denying global warming, not a poilitcal move at all!

Neither are all those crony appointments. Not policital whatsoever!
