"after ignoring warnings to stay out of the water"

Sorry, but: Bring your damn brain when you go on vacation.

Don't know any more than you do... but I don't have much sympathy for the woman. Glad she wasn't too badly harmed, though.

Hope this shark thing doesn't become a permanent scare

"Dos días después de ese ataque, pecadores de Cancún realizaron una matanza masiva de 70 tiburones" (Referring to the previous attack)

    Sad and frustrating.

When you can SEE(!) the sharks, and when lifeguards tell you to "NOT enter the water", then I really have to question how a person like this thinks.

I really try to feel sorry for her, but honestly, I cant even pretend. IF the events that took place like described, then its like sticking screwdrivers in the electrical outlet in the wall... Ugh.

Im hoping they dont start massacring more sharks after this latest attack...

EDIT: Didnt see CancunCanuck´s post until just now. Hope this can be confirmed asap.

    Who knows?

One article says shark attack to the foot, another says THREE sharks attacked her foot (with photos of foot and sharks), and another says arm hurt by rocks.

Guess we'll have to wait this one out

I sure hope that it wasn't, I would hate to see another shark slaughter (or panic on the beaches).

Obviously the sharks are there, the photos were pretty clear. I would hate to be 100 meters out and bleeding from the rocks with those guys around.

Going out 100 meters at that beach is foolish to start with really, the undercurrents are strong regardless of sharks. (This is the beach we've been going to lately, will not be panicking but will sure be paying attention).
