I was driving past Plaza Penninsula and I thought that I noticed that the Starbucks there was closed (not for the day but, closed permanantly). Seems like that place was always packed. I know the one in Bonampak 77 closed because they moved to a better location in front of Superama, but Penninsula is far enough to support another Starbucks. And slightly past Plaza Penninsula, next to the Pemex, did I see a sign announcing a new Ferrari / Mazarati dealership? Those cars do not seem "tope friendly." Sorry for seeming so vague, but I was trying to concentrate on driving as there were so many people weaving in and out of the traffic.
@pocodinero: Starbucks at Plaza Peninsula is definitely not closed. A friend of mine was just there for lunch. But you had me worried there for a second
Looks like Flavours is closed, we ate there several times. Never seemed like they could get it off the ground.
Too bad about Flavours. They tried hard but I don't think they had a real marketing plan or a business plan. In this town you can't just open the doors and expect people to come. I wish Peter good luck in whatever he chooses to do next.
