I guess I don't get it then... if it's not the entertainment staff setting the tone for the resort, then why aren't all the other Adult Only all inclusive resorts in Cancun just as fun? If it wasn't them out stirring up the crowd then why didn't you meet your new best friend on your last vacation. Yes, it's about the people you meet at the hotel that make your vacation. But you've been to lots of hotels in your travels and never one like BBV/BBG/Temptations. Who gets the body shots started on the bar? Who got the folks dancing in the casino nights? Who created the atmosphere for you to feel like a kid again and let your inhibitions go for a while. It wasn't the strangers around you at the pool. Yeah folks have come and gone but the only constant over the years was Chinos and how he shaped the staff. He's not there for the first time in what 15 years? I'm willing to give the new staff a chance. I know and love T and will be looking forward to seeing her again. I'm just not going to be shocked if Saturday's body shots on the bar are gone before we get back in May. Without Chinos there pushing the envelope I really hope the envelope doesn't push back. Yeah we can have a great time by ourselves, but remember back a couple of years when they became very strict around the pool and security was everywhere. If they decide to tone it back, it will get toned back. That's why I'm not cancelling yet, but not reserving yet. Yeah I'll probably end up there in May to see my friends but if it's going to be just another hotel.... I mean these things work together. I remember going to the Oasis when Enrique and Lalo worked down there. They were themselves but it wasn't the same. So the staff and the hotel have to be in sync. Looks like the hotel dumped the staff and is establishing a new environment. We'll have to see what they come up with. Jamie
no body shots on the bar on Saturday when I was there Jamie....... and I totally understand your point of view, last week was great seeing friends and having fun, but just not the same at game time at the sexy pool, I was hoping it was just them getting in the swing and learning the ropes..... but if the whole resort changes??????
with all due respect - if it takes someone on a hotel staff to get me going im either (a) in pensacola at mark III watching the security guard chase the kids around the swimming pool for taking off ladies tops or (b) im having a nightmare of biblical proportions now please do not misunderstand me - i love a great entertainment staff - love for them to decide to get involved too - yippee ...........but i D@%^ sure aint going to sit around and wait for them to blow the whistle and tell me its "GO TIME" :wink: just saying :lol: rob and dat t
and as for body shots - heck - we just did them in the pool and competed against people in the opposite hot tub for who could do the best ones where was the entertainment staff........you ask ummmmm dunno - but i did not go looking for them - i think the entertainment staff had left for the day :? - and oh yes thanks to tmac - we won :lol: even though i did choke on the tequila the last time - but hell after two hundred and sixty seven shots - you kinda got to expect it huh? :wink: as for the person responsible for getting the people started dancing - ill have to say it was tmac again - he got one of my booty mix cd's from my luggage - paid the entertainment staff dj some jacksons and the party kicked up about twelve notches as everyone decided to come into nice shoes and actaully dance that night - the entertainment dj begged t for us to leave the cd for him - but i like bart more so i gave it to bart :wink: as for atmosphere and strangers yep we love the atmosphere and being able to let go and have fun - all our freinds know we do this pretty much 24/7 anywho - and MAJOR thanks to steve and janet (and this web site) we really dont consider the people we meet there strangers - so we dont have awkward moments when we arrive and we dont have to look for someone on the staff to hold our hand - we just kick off our shoes with the all da little momma's we have met here (and or have brought with us) - and we just jump right on in and join the party - t and i are far more interested in face time with these great people for us - the entertainment staff is simply a bonus - its never been a catalyst respectfully understanding that all experiences are different though the best
OK.. won't argue the point. I guess it's a point of view from those of us that have been going for a while and those that joined the party in the last couple of years. Yeah, this board helps meet folks before you go but some of us remember getting that going in the first place. We'll see what the future brings. I agree with you Rob...I have been going since 03 and have seen a few of the Entertainment staff come and go, but one constant has been the people you MEET and STAY IN TOUCH WITH that really keeps me coming back. Don't get me wrong, I will miss Chino's and the gang as much as anybody, but no matter what changes they make, I will still always look forward to seeing old friends and making new friends. Isn't that what it's all about anyways? Let the countdown begin 4-28 through 5-4-09. The more the merrier and a guaranteed great time for all!!!! Cheers, FJ
Just booked 10 days for April. So I guess I'll be returning This will be the fourth trip, and each an every trip has been different and awesome in it's own way. I for one don't really think the change in the staff is a bad thing. The status quo can get stale, new personalities might just be what the doctor ordered. I for one like change and am not afraid of it. Only 195 days to go!
I think I will put my two cents worth in on this. I don't post very much but have been on the board for over 4 years. I have been to TTR 5 times and had a blast the first 4 years. This past year we seen some changes we just don't like. We had a group of 9 at Patty'os one night having a good time, when security told us we had to keep it down we were offending people!!!! All we were doing was laughing!! The funny part was it was 8pm!!! Two days later there were 3 girls that were drunk out of there mind's having a blast. Which I'm all for! But they were making out and slipping hand's up each others dresses and falling off there stools. Not a word said to them! I just don't understand why we were told to keep it down! We are considering some where else. But never say never.
