Instead of giving up beer just include it in your cheat day. Typically, I just drop my calories by 500 daily, two months prior to the event (vacation). Always give myself 1 cheat day a week, where I can eat and drink as I much as I want long as it does not go over 3,000 calories for that day. I usually do an hour of cardio on the cheat day to help offset the large surplus of calories I take in for the day. So, the calories taken in is around 4,000 but I burn a 1,000 calories between the cardio and the workout that day. Usually my goal is not weight based but based on body fat percentage. I like to get down to 10% for the trip. Regardless, all shapes and sizes at temptations and nobody is judging others appearances. Personally, I trim down because I know I will gain about 5 lbs over the trip and don't want to have to kill myself taking it off once I get back home. Jay

cheat day Ha ha I definately agree, waste..... Once Im drunk I think I look pretty damn good any way , and for that matter, after a few drinks ,so does everyone else lol... That and im just too damn lazy
In reference to alcohol consumption, I was referring to over indulging not moderation. Nothing wrong with having a few drinks daily, but I save having a 12 pack for my cheat day. On vacation, I eat and drink as much as I want. On a side note, Chinos and Omar party hard weekly, but they have to be watching calories and burning a lot off daily. They are not just magically lean and muscular....that takes a lot of hard work! They bust their butts to be in excellent shape. Jay
Diet I started my diet the week before Christmas and I am down 22 lbs now. I am on 1000 calories a day, tons of water, high protein low carbs and exercise. It will payoff one day I hope.

yeah... this is working. Started at 235, now at 225 as of this morning. Had to restart last Sunday (1/18) due to a weekend binge (pushing my weigt straight up to , but I'm on track to get the right amount of weight off. I can't believe I made it through this weekend unscathed. If this works, I'll be able to wear a man-thong for the PJ&L contest without cries to cover up or anyone forcibly regurgitating the night's meal :mrgreen:
i definitely am! I lost like..... erm... 6 lbs already in just a couple days from doing zumba everyday! you should find a local class at a dance studio and take it! its an hour long... 400-600 calories burned/class and only 5 bucks a session!!! plus.... it'll get u in the cancun spirit~!
After failing daily during a week long battle of trying to avoid "over indulging", I was finally able to drink "in moderation" last night. I stopped at 11; and I don't mean counting or time. I thought about continuing, but I was the designated driver and decided the responsible thing to do would be to switch to water. I had thoughts of becoming the permanent Monday-Wednesday designated driver just to meat the challenge in the future, but that was killed quickly as supposedly I will no longer be elected dd. After two bottles of water, I got bored and decided it was time for us all to leave. Bets are off this weekend. I leave for Montreal at 3:30pm...
