I know its basic econ 101 (supply and demand) but this year, prices seem to be a liiiiiitle high for even the garden room. Usually we book for Sept, a few weeks post Labor Day and this is by far the most expensive year we've seen. We'd be lying if we said that we didn't think prices would come down a smidge. Hey...first world problems huh? What is everyone elses experience so far?
The members price per night went up right after we became members this last fall. We’re still happy with the price we paid for the membership and overall it will payoff over a few years. We’ve been 5 times. We’re booked in a jacuzzi suite next Halloween and were paying the same price we paid for a jacuzzi suite Labor Day 2016 right before the renovation.
Seems like prices have gone up 15-20%. We’ve always booked the Garden View rooms so I can’t speak for prices in the Tower. The price for flights to Cancun have easily doubled for us.
I booked on the Temptation website and added flights and the price seems to go down quite a bit. We are going 3/22 - 3/29 flight out of Atlanta with roundtrip transfer for $3275. Seemed like a good deal to me, but what do you think? (Garden view)
That seems like a good deal to me. We booked a GV room 4/17-4/22 and paid $2k with no flight. That was also with a 16% discount code. So $3,275 for flight and room for that many days seems like solid deal.
That’s what I was thinking. We booked 4 nights with flight last time for $2200. Seemed to be the best deal after checking all the other sites. Only downside is flying Frontier!
"Little high"? Rack rate in OCTOBER is $230/night higher than last year for a Garden room! ($380 higher if you consider last year's Presidents Day sale) We're NOT impressed with the trend. Add on the added cost of Air Travel and it's tough to get excited about returning.
I booked us (Members) at TTR for 6 nights first week of April and at first I thought I'd made a mistake and booked DRM. It was an eybrow-raiser, but we're still going... I mean, why the hell not. Earn it, spend it, can't take it with ya.
