Ive flown aa several times and never had an issue...that being said ive NEVER had so much as a delwayed flight on ANY airline. Knock on wood.
We used Sunwing in March for a trip to Temp and were delayed 13hrs. No reason ever given nor any compensation....airlines can be such a joke sometimes. Even a sorry would have been nice.
American is our only choice because we don't like layovers. We have been delayed every time on way back but if you throw a layover in there still will prob be faster with a delay. Of course our delays are not more than an hour.
DO NOT use USAir!!! THEY also SUCK!! Had a direct flight from Cancun to Phila! We lose power over Cuba...Had to land in Miami...I understand that!!! But U leave us on the tarmac for 5 hours...No air...Just water and a cracker. And the only reason we GOT the cracker is because the captain approved the opening of the crackers...SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! :aktion052::aktion052::aktion052:... Needless to say...They will be paying for some things!! So Ifiess..I feel ur pain!!
I've been flying USAir & Southwest for 15 years... Never had anywhere near the issues i've had with American or Delta..
If you fly a lot you know that flying is almost as much fun as having a root canal done. No airline is perfect. We have always had good luck with US Air and Southwest and really lousy luck with Delta and United. For us we just try to avoid Philly no matter where we are going. That is a horrible excuse for an airport. Charlotte is faster, easier, cleaner, and doesn't seem the have the surly employees that Philly does. It will be interesting to see how the merger with US and American turns out. I'll be curious if that impoves the American service or takes US Air's service down.
Charlotte is my favorite airport in the country... I don't think philly is that bad other than it seems dingy and dated, but I avoid newark LIKE THE PLAGUE.. WORST AIRPORT IN THE COUNTRY.
I fly US air alot.. I always avoid Philly.. Love Charlotte! But Philly I always have delays, oh wait two times I didn't. One of which I was actually moved up time wise.. But when I run into issues it has been at philly. I try not to use American, just because I don't want a layover in Miami, coming or going.
Worst Airline we have ever flown (And I recall when Frank Borman would personnally thank you for using Eastern at the ole Atlanta Hartsfield Airport) was/is Spirit. Will take a bus to Cancun before I would ever use Spirit again.
