Is The Ambiance Villas a good place to stay during spring break? Have a big party so that's why we are looking @ the villa. Torn between there and The Oasis. Let a newbie know what's good.

Wow, thats a night and day option.

Grand is great and its a fun place to stay. The key is to make sure you stay in the pyramid as sometimes they will stick you in the top floor of Phase I of the Oasis.

Ambiance. I stayed there last year with a group of guys. Much more low key of a Spring Break hotel but it still had some good times. The best thing about the Ambiance is that you can walk to everything. Thats a priceless feature.

If money is not an option, go all inclusive at the Grand but be ready to tip whe you check in to ensure you get put in the pyramid.

At the Grand, I tipped the guy $40 to ensure I got the room I wanted. Its a bad bad deal to get stuck in Phase I of the Grand. Its all about the Pyramid.

You'll meet more people in the grand? Compared to the ambience right?

$40 beans? thats not bad. You think for $40 bucks I can get an ocean view room, in the regular Oasis?[/b]

You will definitely meet more people staying on the Oasis property.

Dunno what 40 beans will get you at the regular Oasis property. They would prob take care of you as you have a 50/50 chance of getting an ocean view no matter what you tip. Its stayin in the pyramid that can really get you a horrible view.

Remember that the ocean side rooms in Phase I and II are partially blocked by Phases 3 and 4 so the ocean view really won't be that great if you're in Phase I or II and on the ocean side. You need to get an ocean view room in Phases 3 and 4 for a quality ocean view.
