I just hate dealing with salespeople but if I let Mrs. Team get liquored up she'll tell them what she really thinks lol Sent from my SM-N915V using Tapatalk
we did the alpharoom. it was all good both times. did the transaction from canada too..the rates are not as good a referral tho. i would book it via that and do the presentation too.. they actually let us walk out without signing papers.. their mistake! but got hounded on the way out!
They being Temptation? You'll have to ask Temptation about that, not gripe about Alpharooms whose Canadian market is probably 0.001% of their sales. I dont think it is usual for any company to discount their rates to compensate people from countries whose currency has lost value recently. Have BMW reduced their car prices? That's not how it works. As per my previous post, prices for Big Macs, Iphones and game credits are not consistent across every country albeit identical products. Different prices for different markets.
Things always cost different prices for a multitude of different reasons depending on location. That's just the way it is, and will always be. It's pretty much a economic principle. There are too many factors involved and no matter how many different ways you look at it your comparing apples to oranges. Bad currency values are a bummer, but when the dollar is worth more are you willing to pay more? Is your cost of living going to change regularly because of this? Is your employer also going to make modifications to your pay structure? I am just saying that it can't be as simple as saying our dollar is down, let's pay less. Or our location is closer, lets pay more. There is just more to it then that. And if the business needs your $$ then they will have to make the necessary changes to stay afloat. I would think that their sales and pricing strategy has a multitude of factors aside from just country of origin or depreciating/increasing economic conditions, and it is hard to know how much of their market share you makeup.
Well it make sense to me, haha. And it wasn't towards anyone directly. Just saying travel distance and/or the worth of a dollar aren't the only factors when price points are set. So if one of those factors increases or decreases, it isn't going to directly relate to price changes.
We used Alpharooms from the US last April and got our room for a great price. Was about $30 a night higher this year but still about $40 less a night than I saw anyplace else. You do have to watch the dates as when you are working with the website though.
