I hear you on that one! Even if it were free, I wouldn't go there in a tropical storm EVER again - it isn't fun, it is a disaster!

Sure, it sucks if you are here for a Tropical storm.

Needs to be put in perspective though - Tropical Storms can happen anytime between June 1st and Nov 1st, and on average there are about two a year - that last about 3 days each.

Hurricanes are even scarier, but direct hits are probably a one in fifteen year event. I've been in Cancun 8 years and only one Hurricane direct hit, about 5 close misses and about 10 Tropical storms.

OK, help me out here all you TTR experts. We were there April for our first time and it was great weather and fun time. I have vacation again in October and had plans but now thinking of heading south again instead. With the room rates an all, kinda hard to pass up. MY ??: Will it rain every day for a while then just be HUMID an hot or is that just if it's stormy? Patio still Rockin' or is the resort kinda dead.?

We have been there the last week of October/Halloween the last 2 years. In 2010, it was sunny and 92 everyday, the only rain we saw was leaving for the airport. In 2011 we were there during the rare tropical storm. It did rain everyday, mostly in the evening, but everyday we did have 6-8 hours of beautiful 88 degree sunshine. There was not a day that we were unable to utilize the Sexy Pool. We were there 9 nights, I believe they had to move the Paty-O party to Nice Shoes on 2 nights. In our opinion, the weather impacted our vacation very minimally. I know others will disagree and will never return in October, everyone has thier own opinion. The Halloween crowd is awesome and we are booked again for this year. (the alpharoom prices made it a no brainer) Hopefully this helps and we will see you soon.

We have been to TTR twice and both times have been in October. We are planning our third trip for this October!! We went last year and it never rained but we had cloudy skies one day...that's it.

We've been to TTR now in October, May and soon to be in August.

When we were there in October we were there for 9 days, we missed a tropical storm coming in and left before a tropical storm arrived. We had 9 days of great weather, I think it rained once or twice in the afternoon for 15 minutes, but it felt good, and we were in the pool anyway! Only complaint was that the pool was a little chilly, I think they only had the heat on maybe 2 days we were there.

In May, we were there for 10 days and had 10 days of hot hot weather. No rain, the pool was like soup.

Can't wait to see what August is like, thank you Alpharooms! $360 for the week. :) And yes, I used your link, Steve-o! :p
