I wish they wouldn't do that...but I guess they know they'll never be able to please everyone. From my experience, singles have been such a small percentage of the guests and I've enjoyed meeting and partying with several of them. Hopefully there is a loophole they'll allow for past guests or a small percentage at any one time. Stay tuned, I guess.
I would be irritated as well. I have already informed my female travel partner that we will be posing as a couple if the resort changes. *gavel*
Was curious as to what the site said, so I just went an looked. If you click on the overview button the last sentence of the first paragraph says: "Please Note: This Hotel is strictly for the UK Market only." Did not see anything about singles. I also went and looked on our itinerary and voucher and didn't see anything there either.
I don't see how they could make TTR a couples only resort when they have members who are single. TTR no longer has any other single resorts (except the kids place), so I'm sure they would get a huge backlash if they tried to make couples only. I'm guessing they are just trying to eliminate the large groups of singles.
That's pretty much where I am coming from. Since I'm a member one would think I wouldn't be happy if they said I couldn't come there anymore. I've sent a message to one of the people at the resort so hopefully I hear something back soon.
Keep us posted Keith, You played a big role in making our last trip as memorable as it was, I can't imagine them excluding all singles.
I checked it and I didnt see it but I think steve said that it was on his comfirmation.. but no where does it say TTR is going couples only or that they are trying to stop the singles.. its one website people.. and they got in trouble with TTR for doing that really cheap rate last year.. and they are selling singles premier memberships like mad.. so.. I dont think anyone has to worry.. its only one website.. and its not that cheap anymore anyways .. I did see the UK Market only.. that might be that they are having issues with all the canadians and US booking and are gonna stop that.. but again.. speculation..
We had asked the question to the live help once again on the www.[URL="http://Temptation.originalresorts.com/cancun/index.asp"]Temptation.originalresorts.com/cancun[/URL] site and recieved the same response. We just asked about the Premier members and how it will effect them and they are not sure. They are passing this question on to the Premier staff for a reply. Feel free to log onto the Live Help on the TTR site and ask. We give them our input that a small percentage of singles cause issues and it would be a shame to prevent future visits by singles but we are only one input.
