This is all typical and what inspections find. ISO9001 doesn't typically tell you what to do....you tell them. If certified they are holding you to your word. As we all know it only takes one bad apple, instance, or the slightest infraction for the media to jump on like flies on shit. I am surprised the coverage has been limited as stated. But of course the big boys already ran it on the evening new weeks ago and it had its 5 minutes of fame...til next time they need something for ratings.
Not us Americans...just most of our news organizations. Politics aside. Gotta sell advertising thru sensationalism. The "Mercan" way! But at times we actually receive good information from the news orgs...well once in a while. They got to control us masses!
Surely you're not saying that the young lady who died in the pool and the couple with baby and the findings of tainted illicit alcohol are fake news?
Not me. Surely that was real and a tragedy. That should have been the news and end of story. People do die every day though. Comments were related to the sensationalism and the scare tactics especially wrt if you vacation in Mexico you may die or be drugged if you have a drink.
FYI - The follow up to this "click bait" story is that no alcohol has tested as "tainted", including what was from the Iberostar(where this story about the death of the girl started) in a report: Lab tests confirm no adulterated alcohol , which was released a week ago.
I've always felt safe in Cancun and take personal responsibility to keep it that way. One thing that made me think was the USA Today article where a couple had what looks like a slip and fall head injury that wound up costing them $50K in cash. I hope I never need medical attention while at one of the resorts and I'm not too sure that I would be prepared if we did.
