cancun-cab.com is also $55.00 They are kind of cool because they use foursquare.com to welcome all their guests.

BUT, like everyone else, Brant at USA Transfers has always been perfect.

We just did a return yesterday from TTR to the airport via taxi and it was 300 pesos or $30 for 2 people door to door. it was very fast like 20 mins. It might be the same from the airport to TTR. I would negotiate the price before getting in the taxi.

ALWAYS negotiate the price before you get in no matter where you take the taxi. Also when we first started going to Cancun taxis weren't allowed to take people from the airport though it was known that people were able to catch them on occasion as they were dropping people off. Maybe someone can update this policy. Hate to see you looking for a taxi after you land & not be able to locate one :aktion061:

Regular taxis that you will find out and about in Cancun are still not allowed to pick up from the airport, although they are allowed to drop off there. You still might be able to snag one as they drop people off but they get fined if they are caught, so are usually reluctant.

There are some vehicles marked as "Airport Taxi" at the airport that can pick you up without reservation but these have a completely different red paint job to the normal green and white taxis and are a private company who pay the airport for "taxi rights".

If you don't have a pre arranged transfer (and unless you want to take the bus to downtown, and then another bus or regular taxi to the resort) they are about the only option, and they know it. One way to Temptation will cost $50 or $60, which is the same price as booking a private return trip ahead of time.
