does anyne know how much the departure tax is that you have to pay when leaving mexico :flaguk: only 5 sleeps to go :ernaehrung015::3some:
It's in the region of $40 (USD) per person, if it's not already included in the cost of your ticket... which is usually the case for Brits.
taxe?? [QUOTE = Steve; 284372] C'est dans la région de 40 $ (USD) par personne, si ce n'est pas déjà inclus dans le coût de votre billet ... qui est habituellement le cas pour les Britanniques. [/ QUOTE] And for the Canadians it is necessary to plan this tax??
For us it has been included (for the last 3 years) in the cost of the airline ticket - ne vous inquiétez pas
how do you know if it is incuded in the cost of your package holiday, it seems very negative on the package we have booked with thomson holidays. therefore is this an extra to be paid on departure if so do you receive a bill to pay this charge on arrival or what. sorry bout the ignorance but we will be first time visitors to cancun.
Presumably, it's detailed in the small print somewhere. Or a phone call to Thomsons should determine it one way or another. It's safe to say if it's a UK operator chances are it isn't included in your ticket although there are sometimes exceptions. If payable it's collected when you check in for your return flight. Any Brits returned recently who can chime in?
Last time we came home from Cancun, you had to Que at a separate desk to pay the departure tax. Then take the receipt that they give you and hand it in at the the check-in desk. Think it was around 40 Dollars at the time and if memory serves me right, it worked out cheaper to pay in Peso's Thomson's and Thomas Cook don't include the departure tax in the package price. BTW Steve how's it going, long time not talk. Do you think you'll go up this year.
My Dad and Stepmom went back last week with Thomas Cook and the departure tax is still payable. Hey Daz, I really do think we will
