Agent just called: a curveball!

I am being offered to go to the Grand Oasis Playa instead of the regular Oasis................for free.

Any been there???? Is it boring??

I don't know why I am offered an upgrade? My agent says the wholesaler called her to let her know we could? I am thkinking it's because there are many problems with the regular Oasis at the moment?

Your thoughts????

it's a little further down - but nothing major

cabs and busses needed to same way to get to party center...so this has no real impact

But it is for an upgrade for sure?? What does Trip Advisor say?

 

i would not suggest this move as the hotel is quite a distance away and also not 5 star!

I have stayed at the Grand Oasis a bunch of times and it is a definite upgrade from the Oasis Cancun. There probably wont be a big party atmosphere, but it is a nice hotel with great pools, good food and nice rooms. On the bus its only another 5 minutes or so down from the Oasis Cancun.

If the party atmosphere is not necessary for you, I would say go for it. You are still able to eat and drink at the other Oasis resorts anyway as far as I know.

 

Yeah but Cuvry you can go to tthe Oasis Cancun anytime you want to. You can party tehre...So I would take the upgrade for sure...

I've been reading tripadvisor for both hotels, and I must say that the oasis playa DOES get better reviews.....and yes, I can always go to any other Oasis if I want to.

AND A HOT TUB ON THE BALCONY MAKES IT BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!
