One thing we liked about Breezes/Hedo is that you could walk the beach for several miles (Oh well, and several hundred drug dealers) Is beach walking possible at Temptations. (we wouldn't miss the drug dealers)
I wouldn't recommend Temptations if a long walk on the beach is your priority. It's a fairly small beach area (probably to hide the toplessness?) Drug dealers are everywhere no matter where you go. Nobody cares about age. As long as you like to party you will feel right at home.
Hi again. . . . .we too are beach walkers. Heading to TTR for our 8th trip since NYEve 2009. We always walk the beach each trip, but it is not great. It is not possible to walk a long distance, unless you detour to the road in some places. It can also get challenging. As I said earliar the beach isn't in the same league as Negril. But as I related previously Desire resort may be more to your liking as it has a very nice, more sedate, beach enjoyable for long strolls. Of those prior trips to TTR, we have visited in (3) Feb, (1) Halloween and (3) NYE and age range is a spectrum, from young hardbodies, jersey shore wannabees, to Sopranos extras to Betty White's fan club. You will have fun and can party to your limit. Theme nights are better than Hedo. Activities are superior and the food is a notch higher. The property is slightly better upkeep (we find Hedo really showing its age and rundown). The service is outstanding compared to Hedo. But TTR is NOT textile-free and is not a swingers joint per se. PDA 's are not technically allowed, but sometimes happen. Nudity does occur briefly and swingers are present. Drugs are not really an issue on property or in town. You should really just book it, or better yet split a week at TTR and Desire and then you will know. What week/time are you considering?
Hello Christy and Brad. Just wanted to say great minds think alike! We too arrive on Oct 26. How many nights are you there? Will this be your first TTR Haolloween?
I love the comment for MECCA..so true we r no spring chicks rather.but you only old as you wanna be have fun and be sure the leave age at home and PARTY Like there is no tomorrow
If you turn left onto the beach out of the resort you can walk for maybe 5km unobstructed, but it's not the greatest beach in Cancun. If you turn right it's still not the greatest beach and there are obstacles and blocked access that you'll need to go to the road to get around. If you go to the beach behind Coco Bongo (a 15 min bus ride away) you can turn right along the shore and walk for around 15km unobstructed. The beach there is very nice. There are a few beach sellers, I'm sure many will sell (rip off) drugs if you want them but most are just selling rip off jewellery, fake Cuban cigars and other assorted crap. I just give them a stern not interested look and they soon scurry away like the rats they are.
