Yeah, great idea! let them know they would want to be closer to "action" of the bars etc. in the hotel zone. RIU Cancun is right down there too. Friends of ours go the Golden Parnassus all the time and love it.
We are going to make the best of it. We like our week and it sounds like the people going then are a lot of fun so not going to mess with it. Hopefully it all works out.
This is a great suggestion - I would also avoid inviting them to check out CCC Golden Parnassus forum unless you want them to "fall" into looking at TTR. I have looked at that forum also and can see how it would be easier and more "tempting" to check out this forum....which obviously leads to all the problems and more coming back (they find your pics/profile/posts...etc...) rangehat: good luck!! ~Jill~
Well one thing to consider is, yes possibly shipping them off to the GP or other hotel, but maybe getting them a day pass to see how everyone would get along on a separate trip. I've met families that have taken along their nephews etc and it's worked out well. you never know you may end up surprised that your nephew has the same mindset you guys do.
Update Ok so I got the nephew to go to the GP or the RIU. and the cousins friend after they told her topless optional she dosent want to go.
That was a great way to put it! I want to thank everyone for the discussion. We're completely new to this, and going to TTR in June. Love the forum discussion, it helps us get an idea of what to expect and plan for. A similar situation happened with us...We're good friends with a couple that's also going to Cancun around the same time, and were originally looking at coordinating our vacation. However, my friend's wife is admittedly prudish, and didn't want to be around any topless women or sexy sort of fun. They opted for GP, and we decided on TTR because it looked more interesting and more suited to our liking. They were disappointed we didn't book GP with them, but we told them that this trip is really about us, as a couple...and it's the first time in our 17-year marriage we've been able to do something like this. As we researched vacations, it was the reviews, feedback and discussions in these forums that really sold us on TTR. Our impression is that it's a great place for people to just be themselves, in a friendly environment...and this groups seems more like a community than just a forum. When you live in Prudeville, USA, that's really refreshing. Looking forward to meeting everyone and making new friends!
