As long as you haven't legally changed your name yet, I think your passport is ok. If I'm remembering correctly, we went to France not long after we got married, and I used my passport with my maiden name. I legally changed my name (and passport) by deed poll not long after.

A friend of mine has been selected for "randomly selected extra security" every time he leaves a Canadian airport in the last 8 years or so. He seems to think it all started 8 years ago when he went through security and his backpack that he used to bring to work at a chemistry lab was found to have some sort of residue on it. Now, any time he gets a boarding pass, there is an "SSSS" printed on it and it's used to flag him for the extra security. This has to have happened on his last 30 consecutive departures out of any Canadian airport. There's nothing "random" about it.

When I got married they stamped her new name on the last page. It caused issues as they want everything to match. And we had to point it out every time.

I swear who ever has the bag with the "toys" always gets the red light. Luckily they are professionals and generally don't react too badly. Just remember to remove the batteries.

I'm guessing when they see some of the bags they know right away what resort your staying at.

I guess I have that look too. I already have trouble packing to leave being hungover (or still drunk), and they take everything out of my purse and carry on. Oh well, I'm used to it now!!!
