G and C - Noticed you stated you came across Catalonia Royal Tulum. We have stayed at Temptations several times and had a total blast. Although, this time we are trying the Catalonia Royal Tulum for a different kind of vacation. We are going in May 2016. When are you looking to go? Also, wish there was a forum for Tulum or the resort itself, similar to Temptations. If there is one, I am unaware of it.
Just FYI, I went to their website to check it out and was a bit puzzled. It says they are adults only, but then I saw this in their faq section....."In the Resort we have a special mini club for children, with scheduled activities and specialized staff is all the time looking out for them. At the pools we have special areas. We also have babysitting services for an additional fee."
the Adult only Catalonia in DR is a farce,, its the equivalent of the Quiet Pool room /area , being adult only,, you still have to eat with the kids .,, and nightly entertainment
Awesome place to catch up on your sleep. Very low key. Have stayed there twice. Food is outstanding and beds comfortable. Great fattening farm. And if you speak French you will fit right in.
Breathless down in Puerto Morales opens in May and it looks beautiful,Thompson have it on their list which is good as the Dreamliner is a better plane and free drinks,can't change the weather tho!
We are staying at Breathless in Riviera Maya in May 5/21-30. it's less then 30 minutes drive from Play de Carmen. We plan on checking out Tulum & Conzumel on day trips.
