Here's a link to another local newspaper reporting the same: Turista cae de escalera y pierde la vida en el hotel Seems like he fell down the stairs and must have banged his head. Very sad to hear.
Our friend was the first one to find him. Looked like he might have been there a while before he found him. We weren't real impressed on how long it took the security to help administer cpr. Not for sure if it would have helped, but they pretty much did nothing until the emts got there. I guess you are pretty much on your own if get hurt at the resort, we all knew that any way. The resort can be down right treacherous at times. A lot of steps and smooth surfaces. Add in a some moisture and possible intoxication, and it could spell disaster for anybody that visits there.
some of those walkways are like walking on a bunch of bananas . Im surprised more people dont slip, especially the ladies in their heels. Sad to hear indeed.
We're currently here and I did see an ambulance insidr the resort yesterday. Condolences tonthe family.
Very sad for the family and condolences to them. With all respect due to them, let me add that with over a quarter million drunken guests every year on hard slick surfaces, hours spent in pools and good judgment left at home, I am surprised this doesn't happen all the time. I've even heard of guys jumping off the Boobs Cruise and ripping their leg open. It could be any of us on any trip to TTR. It's the choice we make. 99.99% of the time it turns out good. Cheers to you our unknown friend. RIP!
