I don't see your comments as offensive. I believe that they are legitimate as there are many others that feel the same way. There are quite a few others that do not want to see Hillary Clinton in office simply because she is a woman. I personally don't believe either, as we have had quite a few African-Americans & women holding high, powerful positions in our government to which they successfully performed honorably. I agree with others on this topic though... you need to support a candidate by looking at the big picture. I for one like something about all of the "front-runners" (Obama, Clinton, & McCain). But I don't fully agree with any of them as well. I see Obama & McCain being the candidates which will make for an interesting political season. McCain pulling in the older & conservative voters and Obama pulling in the younger & Independent voters. I have previously stated on this forum that I was a fan of John McCain and his values, but it will take the rest of the political season to decide who I will be voting for. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Barack Obama isn't our next President. He certainly has the big "Mo" right now. Question is... how dirty will the campaigns get when it comes down to two candidates?
I originally liked McCain until I started watching more interviews and debates where he outright contridicted himself. One minute he says we will be in the war for 100 years and another minute he's talking about bringing back our troops asap. I think McCain just says what he beleives his current audience wants to hear and this I do not like. Make your stance be known and stick to it don't change your policy or belief on a whim unless you can come out and say "I previously stated I believe ... But after much consideration and some points made by ... I think I am starting to sway in my belief and these are the things that have made me reconsider my previous decision..." I would LOVE it if a candidate could actually come out with a statement like that rather than just making a contridictory statement with no explination on their mood swing.
Well hang on to your hat honey cause they all do it. Obama said to some folks in the mid-west that he supported the rights of everyone to own guns but in DC he said that he supported the District's law on banning gun ownership in DC. Everyone knows Hillary's change of stance on NAFTA. Just one example each showing how they all talk out of both sides of their mouths. If they didn't, they wouldn't stand a hope in hell of getting elected. You only get elected by pronmising everyone everything. Hopefully enough of the fools believe you and vote for you. Jamie
