the thing about GNC is that they still carry products that contain some of the same ingredients used in P.E.D's. Not sure why he went and threw them under the bus, unless he was given them by GNC.... On the picking on him thing, I'm sure he was the biggest name on the list, but that still doesn't give them the right to release ONLY his name, and no one elses. Those tests were supposed to remain confidential, so someone has alot of explaining to do. Props to Curt Schilling for stepping up and calling them out on it too. I may not like the guy, but 9 times out of 10 when he speaks, I agree with what he has to say.
saw the news conference today....... I gotta say that i believe what he said. did he cheat? yes has he cheated his whole career? i dont think so, i think hes telling the truth bout that. the difference with him and names like, Bonds, Sosa, Mcguire, Tejada Palmero, etc is that he admits it and gives details on how he did it. Things all those other guys werent able to do. Clemens should have taken some advise from A-Rod instead of making the uproar he did cause from what I hear..... it turns out he did roid up. As far as from here on in...... he is a Yankee and I will judge him on how he plays from here on in. besides, he has never tested positive as a Yankee. This year will determine what he's made of. He thought he got crap from fans at other ballparks before.........Wait til this year. especially in that dump Fenway Park. Lets see if he keeps his head on straight or cracks!!
I thought the interview went probably as well as it could have for Alex. He did the right thing, obviously admitting his mistake and asking to only be judged from here on out. I believe he was honest in most everything he said. The cousin thing, may be a bit sketchy, but who really is to tell. I hope that nothing else shows up, and he goes out there and plays like the superstar that he is. Like he said, his best two seasons were when he just broke in to the league, and in 07...not when he was juicing. Hopefully he has another great year....to continue his hall of fame career
