I'm usually 3 sheets to the wind by the time we check in so they probably know it's pointless to talk to us.

F@CK off seems to be the general consensus about how to handle the situation. ;)

We should be at the resort around 10 AM. A quiet time for the sharks. They start surrounding us before we are finished checking in. This year I will be polite and say "not interested, thanks" and if that doesn't work, F@CK OFF!

@ Lennie, it was creepy as I was bent over and stood up and he was literally right behind me. He even looked me up and down and said, "well, it doesn't take you long to get into the atmosphere, does it?" I told him that this isn't my first rodeo and moved away from him towards the pool where I found you all and let the party commence. Unfortunately, he kept calling and looking for us until he finally gave up.

This year, we will stop it before it begins. Like I said, last year was the worst for someone not taking NO for an answer.

We were at another Cancun resort a few years ago and made the mistake of saying 'ok' when the guy suggested a time the following day to stop by his desk...initially we told him we were hungry and tired after arrival. He called constantly and never left us alone the entire week.

The lesson we learned is to avoid using excuses because he or she has been trained to easily overcome any common objections. Once you make an appointment you'll be pegged as easy money and they won't let up. Saying No and ignoring any future conversation or eye contact(my method)...or if you prefer, an emphatic "F**k Off" is the best advice. Unfortunately, they must have some success with the full court press...they do it because it works. An old Jedi mind trick.
