Its very difficult to come to them for help when you know all they want to do is sell to you and could care less about what you need. I usually just let them know that we are not interested in buying anything, we are here on a relaxing vacation and want to enjoy our time.
My reply last time "" We are staying on a referral week on our next trip and doing the tour them "" Stoppped them in their tracks
Our first year we had someone ask to see us and I felt that I was rude in my first reply and so we sat down. They did not try to sell us anything or take us on a tour. He just welcomed us and gave us a map and a couple little freebies. Last year we sailed right through and no one ever bothered us. Perhaps Jacquie and I just don't look like the type.:icon_eek:
We have always stayed at the Crown Paradise...have never had anyone ask us to buy anything. Guess its the place you are staying at that does this.
Theresa--last year they really hounded us too, and when Ryan kept walking away from them saying "Not interested" the girl actually called US rude. They really need a new approach.
There is no problem until you stop walking. So I say politely decline while walking. Then they'll ask you again. Keep walking and say that you don't want the tour tomorrow either. Just keep declining as you walk away from them and do it all with a smile on your face. Might have to fake left and go right to get past them if they step in your path. I'd recommend the stiff arm as only a last resort.
if your rude ( in their opinion ) to them , they keep calling you in the morning, had to unplug my phone a year ago
Even if you have a membership they still bug you on subsequent trips...always an upgrade to be had (or so they say)!
We plan on saying no thank you and walking away via the pools , if they keep hounding us they better be prepared to get wet:bash:
This is one of the BIG annoyances... noticed that the last few trips there that the "hounding" was turned up a notch or two... the only time we actually went on the tour, we noticed THEY got ruder each time we said no and began to walk out of the room holding our mimosas... never did buy, but did enjoy the better champagne...
