A Quality Rye Whiskey like Crown Royal vs. Foul Tasting Jim Beam sorta "Whiskey"

See, I figured if the Canadians could make a decent whiskey they wouldn't need to blend it.

Jack Daniels/makers mark or or something like Balvenie 12year double wood if feeling classy.

 

I love Crown, but will drink just about any whiskey. Developed a fondness for Canadian in Cancun but sometimes this southern girl needs to get down and dirty with my friends who go by the names Jack and Jim!

 

I definately like a nice Wisers. But at Temptation have to settle for Canadian LTD which was not too bad.

 

I enjoy Maker's, Wild turkey and the occasional JD Tennessee Honey. Like some Wild Turkey now and again.

Out of the 2 options you listed I got to say Crown Royal... But I think we have never bought a bottle of Rye Whiskey in our entire life, too sweet for our taste buds... We are both Scotch drinkers; single malts are preferred (Oban, Glenmorangie, Glenlivet, Balvenie, Glenfiddich) but for the regular weekends we drink blends (Chivas Regal or Johnnie Walker).

I heard there is not decent Scotch in TTR so we'll have to stick with beer and vodka.
