I actually like both, while I was in the Marines I drank a lot of Jim Beam so going back to it when I stay at Temptations is no problem. I drink mostly crown now because the wife prefers crown over Beam.

So it looks like Canadians just call their domestic whiskeys "rye" without even caring what they're made of? Or is it really made with mostly rye? I can't find any info on the grains used in Crown, but it sure doesn't have the spice I think of as a rye whiskey. Try some Whistle Pig (100% rye) or Templeton (90% rye). Good stuff.

I should hope so! (i know this looks like I'm talking to myself, FYI GoGo and Blanco although marrieds are currently 200 miles apart - and he's winding me up as per usual!)

I do prefer Crown as well, but when in Rome right? In the states I've learned to ask for whiskey and coke...in Cancun I ask for whichever label I see. Given the choice though I will take anything Canadian over Jim any day.

I had heard that they made some whiskey in Tennessee too. But I figured it couldn't be any good if the guys who made it banned drinking it. Lynchburg would probably vote against being a dry county if they had Crown.
