This image will change over time but right now it shows the convergence of two tropical storms over central Mexico, both coasts, with Ingrid and Manuel (we're getting rain from Ingrid, in the Gulf, but we are not in the epicenter of the convergence I'm talking about). I can't even imagine how much flooding this will produce, on top of what's already occurred- in Veracruz state, for example. Tropical Storm MANUEL
Things are heating up, weatherwise, over Mexico, with Ingrid now having become a hurricane in the western Gulf of Mexico. Manuel is not yet one, but has sustained winds of 70 MPH, as it moves along Mexico's west coast. These are far from us, and yesterday in Cancun was less cloudy and rainy than it had been; still, we are getting some weather influences from these storms, in the form of cloudiness and showers. Hope to see a little more sun, today. This is a holiday weekend, in Mexico, with Independence Day on Monday. A lot of people would like to see better weather than what they're going to have in central Mexico, right now.
V thanks for the updates. The online forecast looks like crap. What does the day really look like? sporadic rain or all day showers?
Yeah it looks like this is going to bring in a lot of rain, thankfully the longrange is only showing rain for the rest of the week. These storms should cause some problems for sure though, those are such beautiful areas too, so hopefully things will be quick and painless. Thankfully the storms may not end up as hurricanes on land.
bad weather I intend to get naked with a different person & my husband every day it rains. So who cares what the weather does lets party:musik026:
Just got back from Cancun last night. No sun all last week. Rain and clouds and overcast skies everyday. Friday brought rain to the curbs with streets flooded badly.
Yesterday it was sunny 95% of the time. Got rainy last night. Today is overcast. Was going to go for a walk but decided to make it a drive instead. But only some tiny sprinkles so far, at least downtown.
It was mostly overcast yesterday too, but the sun shone through for a few hours in the afternoon. (Different weatherman, different observations!) We've got an 80% cloud cover at the moment, with the sun shining through the holes that appear in the clouds from time to time. The cloud cover today is much less dense than what we had yesterday, so it's a brighter day. Yesterday and again today it's been windy. Incredibly windy, at times. There was a brief, hard shower and strong winds at about 5 AM, central Cancun, today; none since, as T.J. mentioned. In terms of rain, today is a much better day than any we've had in a while, while it lasts. If somebody were visiting here, today, I don't think they'd be too disappointed, though at seaside there could be a problem with little blowing sand for anyone sitting or lying on the beach. ___________________
No improvement in sight We continue to be plagued by unstable weather. Looks like more of the same for the next few days. Hurricane IR Loop - Satellite Services Division - Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution Wind was so strong for ten minutes or so that I moved all my deck furniture indoors to keep it from being tossed about. It's calm, now, and overcast, at 9:30 PM, Monday
National Hurricane Center More of the same.... No hurricane- just clouds, wind, and rain for us. Veracruz may not be so lucky. _________________ To read the forecast, just move your cursor over the yellow hatched circle....
