I have been reading many of the posts since the news of when TTR will close and we are all going to be a bit displaced for a while til the renovations are complete at TTR, perhaps even after if they change the concept entirely. There has been much talk about Breathless one of the newer brand of resorts to AMResorts in Punta Cana, Cabo San Lucus, Cancun and Jamaica which will open in December. So many people have questions about this resort. I have added a link to the fact sheet of the resort, it only gives information. I am guessing that there is no place like TTR really out there, some may come close but really it has been said over and over again that it is not the resort itself but rather the people that go there. So my suggestion is why not just book somewhere as a group and make your own party.

The Breathless Riviera Cancun location rates start at $500+ USD per night, per couple - definitely not an affordable option for many(especially Canucks - lol)

When we were at DRM this past April, we could see the workers taking their lunch on one of the floors. It'll probably be a favorite spot of Breathless insiders. I think the DRM ownership (Original Resorts) is hoping that folks will go there, see the actually fun times happening at DRM and book there next.

$500/night for the Breathless... that's comparable with DRM, especially if you hit a promotion.

We just booked at Breathless in Punta Cana and on there site it states all their pools are topless optional. We even called the resort to check. We have to go somewhere until Temps opens back up, lol. Just an FYI. :)

We went to breathless punta Cana last year. Zero topless. No music at pools except during the one hour "show" at 3pm by the E.C.
Evening shows were spectacular. Beach area was nice but water not pretty. Atlantic side.
Drinks extremely watered down. English barrier was huge with staff.
Most expensive disappointing trip ever. :-(

Edited to add....it was late August and we did have hurricane weather to contend with, I am sure that the week and group you go with can make all the difference!

Just booked Breathless in Cabo Sept 25-Sept 30. Any info on this resort? I was told from a few friends that stayed at Breathless recently had a great time at the resort. All though they have never been to TTR so I don't know if I know what fun is all about, LOL!

We were at Hard Rock Punta Cana last Thanksgiving. They had one adults-only pool , saw a couple topless but not much other activity. Staff was pretty decent but I tip well so I assume that has something to do with it. Food was good, but everywhere you went there were a ton of kids and including and all the entertainment. All of the night life ended at midnight so they can shove you into the casino to spend money. Nice resort but not worth the money. I think in all cases it's hard to find something that compares with what we are used to
