Well, it worked. Not well but with a bit of teamwork it all came together. We had 3 different rooms and none of them would have worked well. Christen didn't have alot of tollerance for the process. There was a room in bare concrete where they were doing construction that would have been perfect if we were shooting porn. It would have been one of those 4 sexy girls doing dirty sweaty work flicks when all of a sudden a guy walks in, 10 minutes later the swing just happens to be there... As we didn't have the right lighting to pull it off we kept looking. After the pool we had a number of people end up in a hot tub room. I looked out and saw a palm tree. I must have looked like a kid christmas morning as the plan was immediately apparent. I figured it would take about 12 minutes. 1st step- get the swing and the rope. People look at you strange when you walk by at 6pm with a swing in one hand and a rope in the other. 2nd- attach to tree. This was done by looping the rope around the tree and shimying up the tree. This is harder than it looks when in a hurry and drunk. 3rd- thread rope over the shade and into the room thru the sliding doors. While I did this the room owner got up the tree and finished getting the loop up high. it had to be much higher than the shade or else the shade would take the tension not the ceiling. 4th- use a different piece of rope and double it up using a figure 8. open the door and place the knot over the top hinge, close door and pull out the slack to put the knot in place. 5th- this part is critical. Tie the 2 ropes together and get out all the slack. If its loose it will sag and not work, breaking the shade. At this point the swing was hung and one mod was made to add a brake to keep the swing from sliding. It all worked and was funny but it works better properly mounted and packing it was a pain.
