9/11 is like a lot of other recognized days, take D-day for example or even Veterans Day, to the people it directly affects that day marks a day of hurt. To the rest of the nation it is a day we can honor people that made a difference. I doubt the hurt will ever go away but hopefully the honor will continue for years to come. 9/11 was a frightening day for so many in our nation and to be able to honor the people that lost so much on that day soothes people. I feel for all that were directly affected on September 11, 2006. It still brings tears to my eyes to think of the lives lost and the hate that is out there in this world. I hope that the people who lost so much understand the honor the rest of our country is trying to show not only to the people who died but also to the ones that loved them. God Bless!!
