Does anyone have any ideas im getting to cancun a day before i booked my room.. im thinking sleep on the sidewalk or bushes.. any tips??
just reserve a cheap room in the hotel zone! you can get a room at one of the lagoon hotels (Imperial Laguna or Grand Royal Lagoon) for about $50/night. I'm sure you could do even better downtown, or maybe at the Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas. what night is this for? I can check some sources for you.
i get in march 6th.. we have a pres suite reserved for march 7th thru 14 at the krystal in the club zone
krystal is right at the party central area.. around km9 I say get a room at the cheap Sotavento hotel around km4 ($51 bed and breakfast at Alpharooms.com), then check out on the 7th, grab a taxi (settle on the price before you throw your luggage in, should be around $5 for the 5-minute ride from km4-km9) and you're done.
I slept on Playa Delfines my first ever night in Cancun. I was not bothered at all, not by people or even by the iguanas crawling out of the hill... but you have no car to lock your items in, so I agree with Dennis. If you just want a bare bones place to crash your first night, I know of a place downtown, but maybe Dennis' tip is better cuz it's in the HZ.
Yeah sleeping in random places will mroe than likely get you a chane to meet the local polica! Just get a cheap room just to lay your head...Doesn't cost that much
