Playa Lancheros is the first place that comes to mind. On the west side of the island, looking towards Cancun. They are famous for their tikinxic fish, a Mayan specialty. You can pick the fish you want, they garnish and season it and barbecue it on the grill. Cold, cheap beers, great view and excellent, cheap food.

Sounds wonderful. Thanks so much CC. Hope to see you and Max during our upcoming trip. Let me know if anything is happening at My Place during April 21 till May 5th. I'd love to be part of a CanCun Cares get together....Jaki

    GOLF CART question.
Can somebody give some tips on the best place to rent a golf cart?
If you know of a place(s) that I should avoid, let me know.

I have heard many horror stories about time share sharks working out of the golf cart rentals.

I do not want to deal with any of that.

Do I have to leave my Drivers Lic. when I rent a cart?

    Thanks guys,
    EB

We always use Prisma rentals, about a block to the left of the ferry dock. 450 pesos for the day and yes, you leave a DL as a "deposit" for the day.

    Thanks CC,
I was hoping that you would respond to my question.

If the family and I hang out at Sergio's for a while, do we just park our golf cart nearby? Do we have to worry about anything?
Probably a stupid question but just something I have been wondering.
    Thanks again,

    EB
