Theresa... my Mexican mother. Very nice lady with quality stuff for sale. Chris owns half the store! .. well owns at least one of half the stuff in the store. Jamie
Thanks for posting and sharing your research. It is always cool when people are interested in the history of Mecca. (There is more to the story which is very interesting)
If you see Diego shake his hand and thank him for: 1. Creating Mecca 2. For inspiring and building Cancun. He is one of the great ones! ( those other hotels can't compete with the history, character, vibe and Mom and Pop quaintness/homyness of TTR. And you will never see the owners of those places.)
1971 was a GREAT year. Disneyworld opened that year too. I say it was to celebrate my birthday. LOL - Melissa
So in September 1974, I started going to college... geez shoulda came to Cancun instead. But seriously, the oldest, historic and the most fun resort- glad Joyce and I was asked to go to the "old" BBG in 2003 with a large group of people for Halloween. And we can't wait to go back again in less than 4 weeks.
From dog face link... The name Cancún, Cancun or Cancun first appears on 18th century maps.[citation needed]*The meaning of Cancún is unknown, and it is also unknown whether the name is of Maya origin. If it is of Maya origin, possible translations include "Place/Seat/Throne of the Snake" or "Enchanted Snake". Snake iconography was prevalent at the pre-Columbian site of Nizuc.[6] I know a snake who likes Cancun ..... ;-) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
