Probably true. But the Hotel is awesome! The Carousel bar in the hotel is a must do.

Bourbon street with a crowd of crazy TTR folks in a mob is a lot of fun.

You get to help a great cause by having fun.

Just a different very fun experience.

 

I am sure this is a great trip with the crew that is going, and I was not trying to say anything otherwise! I was just surprised that it would be that much cheaper to go to TTR. New Orleans is on our our list of "Places we want to go", so maybe we can make it to this trip one of these years.

 

Never even considered any of your comment was any type of negative on the trip. I was also just trying to point out some of the things that justify the extra expense from our perspective. If you have not been to New Orleans you really do need to work that in sometime!!

We go 2-3 times a year (of course, we are close), so if you need a guide when you go, give us a shout.

TTR for us in 3 days!!!!

Not really that expensive of a weekend, and very gratifying to be part of a group that raises $100K for a great cause this year. Being part of a group of 200 of your friends who have worked towards the goal of raising enough money across the US and Canada to send 10-15 challenged children on the trip of their lives is well worth spending a few bucks to join us in Nawlins. Oh, and did I mention that the party is incredible also:icon_smile:.

No strangers in this group, and we invite everyone to help make this year's party bigger and better.

 

It would be really economical if not for that whole alcohol issue!!

 

2 for 1 or 3 for 1 during the day, but it does get a little salty at night. We had 2 or 3 for 1 at the Friday after party last year, and the same at everywhere during the Pub Crawl.

We usually finish off the night with a couple of Grandma shots at the Carousel bar. No bargains there, but well worth it.

 

Just confirmed our reservations . BTW, the group got a great rate on the hotel, was a nice surprise. We're really looking forward to it! NOLA is one of our favorite places

 

Hotel Monteleone at almost any other time we go runs about $400 a night. This block rate is a GREAT rate.

Looking very forward to this trip.

 

We just booked our rooms, and are really looking forward to another weekend in Nawlins. Several of us will be coming in on Thursday and leaving on Monday, however a shorter stay is also a great option.

to top it all off the hotel monteleone is a huge sponsor of the event providing meeting spaces for the meet and greet, pre parade party on Saturday and then the sunday jazz brunch at no charge.

as Bart said there is no such a thing as people who are not welcome or feel uncomfortable....everyone who attends will be in shock at just how inclusive and fun everyone truly is - there is nothing to compare it to....

it grows every year and we are once again expecting hundreds
