If you wear contacts, don't forget your solution and an emgency pair, or at least some glasses as a backup.

On a comedic touch . . . . and I have tried to find a way to say this without offending anyone, but hey, Drew and I can offend almost anyone, so here goes.

Rent a car for a day or so and drive like a total _________ idiot.

YOU WILL BE SURPRISED THAT NO ONE WILL EVEN NOTICE because that is how driving is done in Cancun.

Turns are made from any lane. Cars just pull to the side of the road and stop for no apparent reason. Traffic lights are merely a suggestion. And I could go on and on.

And I absolutely love it. NEVER do you get the finger. The worst is a toot of the horn if you are not moving a mili-second after the light turns green.

Go down to Puerto Morelos for a snorkle out to the reef. Then enjoy one of the 27 great restaurants (for good yet inexpensive Mexican-food try El Pirata, Posada Amor, or Dona Triny) in town before heading back on the 20 minute drive to Cancun's HZ. That said, promise to keep Puerto Morelos a secret, so the Cancun crowd will not discover it.

Doh!! TJ, why am I so dumb?

Call me crazy but I always bring a thing of lysol or clorox wipes with me.
I do that when I go to any hotel.
I just wipe over the counter tops and table tops.

It just makes me feel better. LOL

ride the bus PAST the Walmart to Soriana. enter the store and head to the left rear of the store - fresh foods. Select the largest styrofoam container they have and pack it full of Pico De Gallo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pico_de_gallo . Get a bag of tortilla chips. Pay the cashier :) Reverse.
