He will be dressing as Thor for the parade and pub crawl and he will more than likely be drinking vodka/monster. He has never been to New Orleans but ...he will be arriving for the first time on 9/6 and after a great weekend there he will depart on 9/9.

originally from Alaska they now live in Oklahoma - like pretty much everyone else who has been, they are three time repeaters and its no surprise when they say their favorite part of the big weekend is quite simply stated "Spending time with good friends while supporting a great cause"

if you run into them while down there..........rich drinks patron pretty much straight all day long and tammie prefers the same drink as t......a vodka tonic with a twist of lime

their favorite bar on the pub crawl is the cats meow and when they pick a song at the chart room on chartes street its probably either going to be godsmack or mumford and sons.

they still have not decided on their costumes yet but they will be arriving on September 5 and departing on Monday September 9

as you can tell by now - those attending are from all over and Julie is no exception. Julie is from Kenner, LA and her favorite thing to do on the weekend is to sleep in on Saturday. However, don't let this confuse you with laziness as she has been a Make-A-Wish Volunteer for over 5 years.

Her favorite restaurant in the big easy is Court of Two sisters and her favorite new Orleans food is a French fry with gravy po'boy
Her favorite super hero is Mighty Mouse and her favorite new Orleans saint is drew brees

if she could have one superhero trait it would be flying.....so she could avoid traffic

yes they are cancuncare members too

they have a hard time picking their favorite part of the big weekend but definitely both pick the sunday jazz brunch and the wish granting as it ties the whole weekend together very nicely.

They loved the cats meow on the pub crawl and also loved just hanging out at voodoo Vibe and the Chart Room.

They have yet to decide on their costumes for the big parade but are leaning towards Green Hornet and Kato or Bud Man and she-ra

Like most they love new Orleans food and their favorites on the big weekend are jambalaya, red beans and rice ans strawberry beignets

when drinking they prefer hurricanes and they will be drinking plenty of them when they arrive on September 5. They will be departing on Monday September 9.

their favorite movies are Napolean Dynamite, serendipity and the help. They are huge florida gators fans and they love bon jovi and styx

Suzanne has been a make a wish volunteer for 2 years and she lives in new orleans but is originally from the Mississippi gulf coast.

Her favorite part of the big weekend is definitely the parade and its hard for her to pick a favorite restaurant in new orleans as there are so many great ones - but if pressed she picks Jacques Imo's

Her favorite super hero movie is batman returns and her favorite super hero character is wonder woman and she will be dressing as wonder woman or cat woman. if she could have one super hero power it would be to have the lasso of truth

Her favorite new Orleans food is alligator cornbread and her favorite saint is drew brees

 

Get to know before we go..................Russ and Sam

now......they are not cancuncare members but Russell's mom and dad are (legs2there)

They are from the Oshawa, Ontario and they both went to Monsignor John Pereyma hight school

They have both been before, and like over 90 percent of those who go once..........they are repeaters and they will be arriving on Thursday, September 5 and departing Monday, September 9. They love everything about New Orleans especially New Orleans po'boys

Their favorite thing about the weekend is the parade and the pub crawl and their favorite bar on the pub crawl is the balcony at the swamp. if they could do anything extra this year while in new Orleans it would be a swamp tour and a river boat dinner.

They are one of the main couples who directed us towards the super hero themed weekend and it would be great to see russ dress as his favorite super hero character Deadpool. Sam is definitely dressing as silk spectre (from one of my favorite movies - watchmen).

She may end up talking Russ into wearing the costume of her favorite superhero Thor...time will tell but since Thor was a major factor in Russ's favorite movie Avengers... my guess is he might end up as Thor.

Their favorite super hero songs are the final countdown by Europe and the theme to superman.

They both love comedy and very much involved in various comedy ventures. it is understandable then that many of their heroes and dream dinner guest lists include: chris Farley, john belushi, kevin smith, gilda radner, tina fey, phil hartman and amy poehler

Billie is from Covington, LA and her favorite part of the weekend is the check presentation........where we all (after having the most incredible weekend of our life) hand over a big fat check to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Her favorite restaurant in New Orleans is Antoines and her favorite New Orleans food is crawfish. Joe Horn is her all- time favorite new Orleans saint

Her favorite super hero movie is the incredible hulk and HE-MAN is not only her favorite super hero but he is also her future ex- husband. Her favorite super hero song is Batdance by Prince and if she could have just one super power it would be the ability to heal

this lovely couple is from Chicago and they met at a Brazilian bar/restaurant and were convinced from day 1 that we found our future spouse

Stephanie is originally from Skokie and Kevin from Macon, Ga

........and oh yeah........Stephanie can dance like no other!!!!

even though they have not made their minds up yet on which costumes they will wear for the parade and pub crawl, their favorite superheroes are wonder woman and nacho libre and those costume might be a great start for them ?

They will more than likely be arriving on Friday morning and hopefully they will stay until Monday morning as sunday afternoon can oftentimes be a blast in new Orleans

While in new Orleans they are looking forward to going to pat obriens, bar hopping in general and of course the pub crawl. They are also looking forward to some shrimp and grits

Most of their real life heroes and dream dinner participants are family members, including stephanie's dad and kevin's dad, brother, uncle and their living hero kate (kevin's sister)

kate could be described as sort of a modern day joan of arc - she goes to 3rd world countries to build communities and help women and children

NOW THATS A SUPERHERO

They are looking forward to putting on costumes and they love dressing up. their favorite all time costumes worn are Pai Mei and Elektra

this incredible CANCUNCARE couple is from the greater Toronto area and while they grew is the same small town of cornwall .......they went to rival high schools.

when it comes to heroes its batman and john mcclain and they also consider each other heroes as faye says about her real life hero rick "he is always going above & beyond to help family & friends & often complete strangers, he is a great husband, a wonderful father and an outstanding human being"
and rick says about his real life hero faye "She wears her heart on her sleeve, is always sensitive to everyone. She lights up the room with her sparkling and bubbly personality. She is my rock!

their favorite hero songs are heroes by the wallflowers and wonderwall by oasis. they have not determined their super hero costumes yet but they have narrowed it down to 2 each (please do tell ) they do a great job with costumes especially retro costumes and last years clown costumes were pretty awesome too

they had such a great time last year they have invited their friend Annette to join them and they encourage all others to invite friends as well they will all be arriving Thursday, September 5 and departing Sunday, September 9 and when they arrive you can expect faye to have a martini but rick may have to search a little bit for gibsons finest rye....but from personal experience......its worth the search - a great drink

Their favorite thing about new Orleans is the parade and the atmosphere created by the weekend long party - its energetic!!! They love crawfish and gumbo and if they have the time this year they would like to do a river boat cruise. their favorite bar in new Orleans is the one where friends are having a great time partying
