with all the talk about bumping I just got off the phone with reservations, we are still confirmed for 9- 3-11. we are so looking forward to seeing our LDC friends again always a fun group, and look forward to meeting new friends.
Ironically that happened to us yesterday with pretty much the same dates (4-11). I made the final payment to Original Resorts, and the confirmation email moved us to the following week (10-17). I just simply called them back this morning and got our original dates back. Really weird, but I hope it isnt happening to all the Labor Day folks!
So we ended up booking directly with TTR and getting a refund from the agency we used originally. Yesterday we were told we had a room and today no. So, if you used a third party to book, I recommend getting confirmation directly from TTR. Still a bit distressed and won't be confident until everything is fully confirmed. Have to get the refund to pay the balance! So, here is what I think happened- TTR opens reservations through other agencies and knowing repeaters would flood the last month, they pulled those rooms as to not share the profits. Update and Question! OK - we are back on for 9/3 to 9/10, whew! Talk about a butt clincher, geeze! :bowdown: Resolution: We got our refund today from BookIt and paid the balance through Original Resorts. We also got a credit refund on our trip to GP 9/30/16 !!!!! Forrest left nothing out - not even his choice words :sauer005:, haha! So, what normally takes 7 - 10 business days happened in less than 24 hours!!! Question: we received the reservation with the deposit, then the receipts for both payments. Will we get another confirmation now that we are paid in full? Just a little gun shy and want to make sure they don't change our dates! All is well that ends well and now we can relax and get back to planning. I still have two nights to finalize. I need some color for lingerie night - too much black, red and white in my suitcase, LOL - thoughts? I am ready to see old friends and make new friends and party with you sexy people. I'd say that if you are making your reservation, and paying directly to original resorts, then you will probably be fine. After your final payment goes though and is processed, maybe just ask them for a final receipt that includes your dates. If this all just happened, then it might already be on it's way to your email, it just might take a little bit for the transaction to fully process. I have paid and it took a couple of hours for the email to come though.
