A lot of sausage but it was still a good time to be had. I was at Barcelo Tucancun and there was actually some girls around on the beach during the day... (some days). Surfin Burrito is def a great. We made a habit of going there almost every night but i think on this past monday... when we got there, we were told the cook didn't show up... how disappointing....
Overall, had a great time and it was definitely a week I won't forgot. BUT, the ratio was awful. I had forgotten what bad tourists british people can be and was fed up with meeting groups of lads from london, manchester etc. So many guys acted like vultures and it was impossible to dance without some guy trying to grope you. One night a group of guys physically blocked us from getting off the bus in an attempt to take us back to their hotel, despite making it quite obvious we didn't want to. I don't think I met more than 1 guy that wasn't a complete creep. My friend found a guy she thought was okay, but apparently when they had sex he shouted out "SPRING BREAK WOOOO" and waved his arm in the air, which makes for a funny story... but kinda sums up just how badly a lot of guys act when in cancun. The plus side of all this (if there is a plus side), is that we were able to stick to our budget. We never paid more than $25 for senor frogs, open bar and we only ever paid cover at clubs as it didn't take more than 2 seconds for guys to invite us to bottle service. Our hotel was lovely and the mexican people were great and friendly... maybe some were a bit creepy, but we have blonde hair and it's to be expected. Didn't feel unsafe once, apart from one night we nearly drunkenly accepted a ride in a police car... So yeaaah, had a great time. But I don't think I'll be going back.
My SB 2011 Trip Report Day 1 We checked in to the Oasis Phase 1, was a lot better than the palm beach oasis as far as cleanliness. First thing we noticed when we got to the pool was the complete lack of women. There were lot's of groups of "Cavemen" and even though I was clearly there with two guys, I was getting bombarded by guys. One guy even grabbed me by the elbow and wouldn't let me go even after I was telling him my boyfriend was right there. It was pretty funny at first but after awhile it was pretty sad. I literally felt bad for all the guys there. Even when there was a few girls around they all either had boyfriends or were completely scared off by their antics. Day 2 Not much different from Day 1. We were really annoyed by the crowd there. Lot's of tools. There were a couple of chicks from Chicago. They ended up flashing their boobs to the whole pool area, let guys take body shots off them, made out with a lot of guys. We saw them at the club later doing about the same thing. My brother went to approach them at the club but ran off after he said he noticed a sore on one of the chicks lips. He said she tried to kiss him and she got pissed because he turned his head away. That's about the only female craziness I saw the whole week there though. We ended up just going to the beach as the ratio was better there than at the pool. Day 3 Saw Chichen Itza during the spring equinox. My brother got a vendor to trade him a half a pack of gum and a pen for a souvenir. Day 4 Went to do the Xplor excursion which was awesome and highly recommend it. Went back to the pool that night and decided to check out the Phase 2 side which was way better. The ratio was still bad but not nearly as bad as phase 1. The crowd was a lot better. Age range was mid to late 20's unlike the phase 1 which was a lot of 18-19 year old douchey guys. People at phase 2 there were much more chill, friendly and down to group up and party. We met a group of English guys and German guys that were cool as hell. There were some pretty cool Canadian girls there too. Overall, we had a lot better time on that side and made lots of friends. Day 5 Hung out and partied at the pool all day with our new friends Day 6 Went to Isla Mujeres which was pretty bad ass. We met some really cool Australian and Swedish girls. Overall, It was a good trip but it wasn't nearly as good as the last time I came to Cancun. We met the cool people too late in our trip by wasting time at the phase 1 pool. My brother got a lot of chicks last time and this year he got none. I'm happy I brought my boyfriend and I'm pretty sure he was very happy he brought me. I'm not sure I'm going to do a spring break trip again. I have way more fun when I go during the off season and it's cheaper anyways.

Yeah.. I agree Hoozle.. ive usually gone when it wasn't spring break.. ive gone in June & loved it.. clubs are packed.. and hotels seem pretty full.. and it seems the ratio is more even!
i saw more speedo's than i think any man should ever have to witness in his lifetime.:icon_sad: if it wasnt for brazilian jiu-jitsu.. i would have been calling a lot of brazilians fag over the course of my week at oasis lol
Yeah the Brazillians took over the whole phase 1 side of the pool, my brother and boyfriend were petrified by all the speedos hahaha Last time I went in August, I loved it. I highly recommend a cancun trip that's not during Spring break especially if you're looking for Women. I remember our hotel was a lot more diverse. The clubs were busy but not so busy that you couldn't enjoy yourself or get drinks. Yeah i normally like more males than women but this was just plain pathetic. It was like a huge sword fight. My brother even joked as an elderly woman passed by that he'd take her at the rate he was at lol.
Went with wife so we did not party too hard but here is my report: HOTEL Stayed at Gran Caribe real, I seen it was advertised as the Co-host of student city but were very few spring breakers there. Ratio wise there was of course in favor of the guys but there were quite a few hotties around. My wife was harrassed a couple times but after they found out she was married they let it go. Service since my last visit was worse, seemed that no one tips as much as previous. People Alot of tools around the pool in the day. One guy kicked over a sandel full of seashells my wife had picked up and he looked down and laughed and walked off. Embarrassing to be american some times. Foreign people are great. I love talking to english and australian people, their stories are funny as hell. Clubs Done the party hopper tour for 60 USD PP and it included congo, frogs, and coco bongo. All three placed were packed but the bar made drinks very quickly, that is one nice thing about mexico's clubs is the quick service and drink pouring. Ratio was totally fucked but I was not there to pick up the ladies as I was with my wife. Had about 10 different drinks spilled on me which started to piss me off towards the end of the night. Dude knocked over a shot glass at the bar and it shattered on my wifes food. Three different cuts and blood everywhere. She is a trooper and stayed till open bar was over Activities Went to isla mujures and went snorkeling with a vendor we met off the street. Went to 4 different spots and then he went and cooked us lunch at this little restaurant thing by the turtle farm. Next say sick as shit with a stomach virus but hard to say where it came from. Overall Over all my second time to the Gran Caribe Real and cacnun in general was great. Love the poeple, service and being drunk as hell 4 of the 5 nights I was there.
