Hola Amigos, Anyone happen to know where the member rates are posted for 2009? I am sure I stumbled across them in late July or early August somewhere. Being the SMRT individual that I am, I thought I would remember where I saw them...well apparently not Amazing how a 10 day tequila filled vaca at Temptations makes you forget things    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I haven't heard or seen anything yet. In years past this is about the time they come out (Sept./Oct). I just hope it isn't anything like they tried sticking to us last year. After many members complaints they lowered it back down. Nick and Renee
Thanks Nick & Renee...that was my hubby asking about the rates...I said I haven't seen them yet and I'm here much more than him LOL...I told him he was on crack (or maybe tequila). By the way, that 60k point limit is even worse than they're saying...Scott called RCI yesterday to inquire and you can only use up to 55k and that's only if your flights cost $599 or less. In other words, if you go over $599 you can't use points at all to bring the cost down...oh yeah, and you have to do all the work of finding the flights yourself. Scott will post more on this later. Thanks, Janice
that really stinks, I would consider trading my points for AI nights or weeks BUT what is to stop them from changing the rules on that deal too??
This was sent to me yesterday Jul 16-Aug 16 2008 84.00 Aug17-Dec 22 2008 68.00 Dec 23- 08-Jan 01 144.00 Jan 02-Jan31 2009 100.00 Feb 01- April 12 2009 118.00 April 13-june 30 2009 84.00 July 01-August 16 95.00 Aug 17- Dec 22 74.00 Dec 23- Jan1 152.00 bases on per person per night, Getting a little to high for what you get. Terry
Thanks Terry! I'll make sure Scott sees this. I think you're right...it is getting too high for the return! Cheers, Janice
$118 a night. 02/01/09 to 04/12/2009 is a complete joke. HAHAHAHA these bastards are crazy in head. Premier Couple: 118x7x2= $1652 Flights= $450 a person roughly. So $900 there. Transfer= $60 or so. Total: $2612 a couple. Ummmm........I can book through any travel company I want for about $200 less without even looking for a good deal. These SOB's tried this same crap last year and got so many complaints they lowered it down like $45 a night per a person to somewhere around $75ish (can't quite remember). That alone tells you they know the price is out of this world crazy. I didn't know Temptations was Market 26 and had to bargin with them. Then I like how they run a special for six months on the Premier website for like $68 a night. More proof that they know the AI daily fees are way too high. We are members we don't need to be jerked around. Just set a fair price and be done with it. It really isn't to hard to understand. They never use to have to run specials or lower AI fees down. Nick and Renee P.S.: You won't see me there until after April 13th.
Did a comparison for May. AI Fee only for 15 night for 2 people vs hotel roomo from Alpha Rooms. AI= $84 per night per person $84 x 2 x 15 night = $2520 Alpha room for 15 nights = $2301.29 Wondering if 10% spa discount plus section D is worth $500 after giving someone $30 a night for thier room. Best of times that's one roundtrip ticket from Denver (although right now it's running $1,000 each). That get together in DFW is looking better all the time. Jamie
That Feb-April 12th AI fee seems way high. In all fairness, the rest of the rates really don't seem much further out of line than they have been in the last couple of years. Life is all about choices, and we can all chose Alpharooms if we don't want to pay the AI.
We always to in September, and this year it was 67.00 pp pd.....so in the hurricane season you can get about the same rate.... its the May one that makes me go YIKES!
