Jamie, don't you know? If you're white and vote for McCain you're a racist, but if you're a couple shades darker and vote for Obama you never are. As soon as Obama won the Dem's primary, I could see that issue coming.

I'm Latino/Hispanic/Chicano and my spouse is a Vietnamese immigrant, so we should be in the back-pocket of the Democratic Party, right? Sorry to disappoint my fellow Dems, but nobody pigeonholes us. It has been a very long time since they have truly represented our concerns and values. A Texas Democratic candidate is closer to it, as they are a tad more conservative in this state.

I really feel bad for states that rely on the coal industry (West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Colorado, etc) for their jobs. Because if Obama is elected he has promised to bankrupt the industry if new plants are built.

Here’s Obama telling the San Francisco Chronicle he’ll make it impossible for new coal plants to be built. The interview took place in January, but its been hidden away by the liberal media and not talked about until now.

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.”

    Listen to the interview:

So now with this economy, Obama says it necessary to sacrifice jobs and putting food on the table to stop greenhouse gases? It is all or nothing for Obama, but can't we have a compromise without putting people out of work?

This is why I didn't vote for him.. Living in WV, and my Dad was a coal miner, I felt that I just couldn't vote for him... I didn't vote for either of them actually.. I did a write in.

I wouldn't have voted at all, but if I didn't, as dirty as politics are here, someone would have voted for me...

    GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT ...

Ohio's GOP Senator: McCain "Will Put Coal Out Of Business"
Mon Nov 03, 2008 at 08:30:03 AM PST

On Sunday, John McCain launched the final attack of his campaign, a fraudulent assault on Barack Obama that serves as a fitting reminder of the fundamental dishonesty not only of his own campaign, but also of the dishonesty of his allies in the right-wing propaganda establishment: Matt Drudge and FOX News.

All you need to know to understand the video is that the Drudge, FOX, and the McCain campaign joined forces with Newsbusters to push a story that the San Francisco Chronicle had concealed an eleven month old recording that supposedly contained devastating audio of Barack Obama proposing to bankrupt the entire coal industry.

Not only was that story false but it turns out that Barack Obama and John McCain have the same position on clean coal technology!!!

Isn't it funny how Obama keeps having problems with what he was, did and said before he ran for President?

Seems like he just appeared 18 months ago... totally different than what he was all those previous years. Sat for 20 years in a church listening and contributing to a Preacher that he threw under the bus. It's like he woke up for a dream or a coma and is now a totally different person. Don't even think about asking about he past or what he said before. That's all irrelevant. Just listen to what he is saying now, cause that's what you need to hear to vote for him.

....the right-wing propaganda establishment: Matt Drudge and FOX News. Oh Please..... Are you saying that anyone in the media that doesn't have his head up Obama's butt and cheering on his campaign is a right-wing propaganda establishment? Does that make ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, and al the rest a Left-wing propaganda establishment?

Oh god I hope we have anther Dewey/Thurman event. It would be a shame if BO and his million supports in Chicago had to go home empty handed. The balls to plan a party like that just makes me wish he loses even more.

But then we’d have to listen to another 4 years about how McCain “stole” the election. This time it would be because we’re racist.

    That is the Tucson paper

    Isn't John McCain from Arizona.

They probably know him pretty well
