No beating here... Trust me, Alex the night time DJ, doesn't want to play that music, he's doing what he's told. I think there is a Management move to get people to go out for all sorts of reasons; staffing, resources, security, etc. The less people onsite getting more intoxicated in large groups that they have makes it much easier for them. So taking out a large group that trickles back in allows them to use less resources to service them. Makes sense ecomincally, but just to everyone's liking. This is another thing that we need to make a concerted effort to mention on everyone's comment cards as they fill them out. We all talk about it but I'm not sure how many of us acutally write it down. Thinkiong about it I don't know that I ever have. You get those cards and what bothered you in the last couple of hours is what you write about and most of us have a blow out the last night so we never seem to write it down. Might want to make notes to have around when you fll those cards out. Jamie
Yeah, I get that... do they mind you bringing your own music.. because that is easy enough to do I guess.
As long as you are not trying to compete with them, or bothering other guests, I don't think they have a problem. I'm not sure how Rob is working his majic but I assume with the DJ involved. Jamie
best bet is to wait until the crowd has diminished considerably like after everyone leaves for the clubs and such then there are only a handful people in there and we find we have an easier time convincing them to play some good music starts out with maybe anywhere from 6 to 20 but gets going once people realize we fixed the most critical part to any party ----------- the music
I get it, that they want to reduce the amount of peeps staying and drinking on sight.....but isn't that the point of an all-inclusive? I don't know about all of you, but my group isn't paying to stay at an all-inclusive to go spend MORE MONEY downtown Cancun and then try and manuever our intoxicated butts (safely) back to the resort. We'd all much rather stay close to "home" and take advantage of the "pre-paid" booze! Honestly...I am really surprised that a resort known for its PARTY ATMOSPHERE gets more comments about how they struggle to provide the 2nd thing that usually gets a party started and that's music! (Oh and if you were wondering what the the 1st thing is that usually gets a party started...well, that would be boobs, ahem, I meant to say alcohol! K&J
rdubnpk One last thing before moving on...and I know this is also near and dear to the hearts of all Americans. The food, for the most part, was very good. But, imagine my surprise when eating breakfast at these so called "resort" restaurants when I was unable to find any grits!!!!! Grits are, of course, an essential element to any breakfast served by any establishment that wants to claim it provides fine dining. I know that all of you will join me in protesting the lack of our favorite food even more vehemently than the crappy music at Nice Shoes!!!!
