We have been going to TTR for 5-ish years. This year we are doing a split trip starting at TTR, ending at DRM. Curious - what percentage of guests participate in theme nights? Any tips we need to know? Anything we need to bring out of the norm (norm of our TTR packing)?
We pack similar to TTR, there are theme nights, it's 50/50 participation however I do regardless of what everyone decides. Most nights I call lingerie night
If you pack like you pack for TTR you'll be fine. As above, Stacia turns the themes into 50/50 lingerie nights, with the lingerie themed off of their resort "Theme." The other night she just wears a skimpy, sometimes sheer-ish minidress. Oh, bring a bit more sunscreen than usual, as you'll want to have the extra for the extra skin you can expose at DRM as compared to TTR. Other than that, the trip-prep is pretty much parallel.
We have been to both TTR and Desire as well numerous times, and we can safely say that the vast majority of guests at Desire participate in the theme nights. Welcome to trying Desire! You guys will have a great time. It is by far our favorite vacation spot. In terms of what to bring to Desire that you would not bring to TTR....as John and Stacia said above, some extra sun screen for those special areas is always a good idea!
