Nope. It didn't involved me directly so no apology would have been made to me. Well except for maybe the common assumption that I'm from the USA but everyone gets that wrong and I take no offense to that. I agree cunspin. Anything that provides the basis for confidence, belief, and credit is important when it comes to your health. I don't think anyone can argue with that. Well, unless you have no choice but to go to the Dr. Simi for 20 pesos and then you can't be so picky. By the way, thanks for the great dentist referral!
Jim, No need to hang allllllllll your diplomas on your walls. That doesn't mean anything to me. In Europe, nobody does, maybe because they don't believe it is a proof of their expertise. One physician -and I already mentionned it a while ago on this board- put my life at risk, he was from Hospiten, and that occured at Hospiten. He did prohibitted acts on my body (no, nothing sexual!), and of course, that I had not allowed him to do. Before the surgery, he was very convincing about his knowledge. I have learned later that he was going out of jail, and had more problems since. His walls were full of diplomas. HE told me that he performed open-heart surgeries, and mine was not well done, although he is not a cardiologist. "Mine" was performed by an eminent cardio surgeon in Paris, but of course, he knew better!!! The director of Hospiten told me he did that ONLY on emergency. ON EMERGENCY????? How can that be? BTW he had been recommended to me by a friend. All that to say that I believe more in conciousness, and human qualities than a scrap of paper on a wall and the place(s) you studied. On another totally different topic, I contracted an architect to remodel my apartment 5 years ago. He had a diploma (I learned it much later at the PROFECO, I couldn't believe it). The guy was unable to do a correct job, and ignored the difference between Volts and Watts! Among other things. Don't worry, Jim, if you are good, you will succeed. Good luck! Please, don't raise your fees to show some people you are good
JenLieb You make no sense at all and miss the point to boot! The point is you get as much information as you can from several different sources and that goes for anything in life, Ignorance is no excuse and in the end you make your own decisions based on what you have learned.
I absolutly agree with all of that...You are entrusting your medical care and treatment to someone you don't know. Things that could help you and also harm you. I am honest and open, I am more than happy to discuss my career and studies with anyone at anytime. Just not at Los Arcos please. Thanks everyone. Have a great trip TJ., See ya when you get back.
Hey Jim - Don't write me off yet. I don't leave till Thursday. We still have time to go to Los Arcos for 2x1 beers.
Hey Jim, Does jenleib not know that if you get a PM, you get an email telling you that you have one, so that you know it before you even visit the board. What's up with that? And Jim; what does this mean? 100% ENGLISH SPEAKING DOCTOR IN CANCUN If you speak English and Spanish, aren't you only 50% English Speaking? I am so confused by you and Jen
I think the word "fluency" is important here. If you leave it out then what TJ is saying can kind of make sense in a pull your leg sort of way. If you include it and say, "I'm 100% fluent in Chinese" you can also say, "I am also, 100% fluent in Bullshit too".
