Chitzen Itza is a full day trip...about a 3 hour drive it is a great excursion if you like the achitecture and culture..it is a long day...
Check out is at 12 noon...I believe you can get the room until 3 pm for an extra charge...can't remember if it was $25 or $50...
Yes the gift shop does carry swimsuits (thongs) but I am not sure if they are sold separatly..
