Hard Rock is off the strip and not really walking distance to Mandalay/Excalibur/MGM/etc... these are all at the southernmost end of the strip....

MGM was very nice and had a great pool area. Mandalay Bay is the same. Luxor ain't bad. NY NY is too cheesy/touristy Mirage, Planet...
It is ridiculous to book at Excalibur. Book somewhere else.
