What Changes Are People Noticing With The New Ceo?

Read TTR Trip Advisor Reviews thru current Jan 2026 month. WOW is all I can say. And not in a good way.

This are the ones I was referencing. Last 10 or so are terrible. A month or two back, more normal. When did the main changes happen? Was OK in September.

 

Would be nice to hear from people who are there right now.

 

A friend that is there now, and who has been going multiple times a year for a long time, DM'd me the other day with some of the things he's seen and heard.
Bash bar will shutdown at 2:00am now not 4:00am. They want to shut down crowds that stay out after bash and save on drinks.
Many may know Yami, who used to be a Bash waitress but became a butler a couple years ago, was let go as a cost cutting move and they plan on cutting more.
New CEO has been heard saying bash girls are worthless and wants them gone.
New CEO told playmakers no swearing, also no games with nudity
3 girls in lobby fired for being fat. All females now have to have hair tied up, and minimal make up
A woman was in lobby topless and CEO told staff to get her out of lobby and actively enforce no topless or shoeless through lobby

 

The lobby rule was always there. Same with the buffet. Coverups and shoes.
Bash also would be down around 2am (last year anyway) except for special events. We know this because we usually close it . No swearing and no nudity at the games is a concern, will be just like any other hotel’s pool games?? Though the games were getting pretty weak last September and even in May unless Prettyboy or JJ were running them??
I remember when the Bash girls started, never really used them as we move around a lot but they were great if we had a cabana at Bash (except when we needed ice, which we would just go get ourselves).
More interested in how they are treating memberships. The beneficiary part specifically. We never joined (they cannot guarantee the Master or PH) but most of our friends are beneficiaries on other friends contracts. That will get sticky I think?
Are they still pushing the new Tower?

 

Pools as of Saturday went to 630, it was 6pm and allegedly was in part CEO went to bed at that time. Noticeable lower volume during day and night most of our trip up til this past Fri and Sat. They are extending Bar open after Bash til next week when they plan to close it all at 2am. All females are to have hair pulled back and tied, minimal make up also. The mood from every single staff we talked to is concern for job and how TTR will stay to how it used to be.

Food has gone way down, as money isnt being spent to improve that area even though they want high end guests back. I wouldn't blame chefs or restaurant managers...I blame CEO who can fix this rather than people we all have come to know well are being dismissed. Cameras installed not only throughout resort but now also in Kitchen. Security does not protect privacy. I had to tell a female who had her camera held high at bash 3 nights ago filming that it wasnt allowed. These things can be seen and stopped easily. Have real repercussions. Was on rooftop and couple had their own speaker blasting trash . No security up there anymore and I dont expect bartenders to engage with them. Pool cameras oddly dont operate when capacity is low. Issues just posted above are all things allegedly done. I will not be surprised if another Bulter is gone given talk about going down to 8 Butler's. Bartenders had heard they wanted on 2 inside Bash at night not 3,last Monday they signed a next contract so for now those jobs are safe.

My understanding is google reviews are very closely followed by management. There are those where I've heard talk to give their reviews which are low and specifically voicing concerns with CEO.

I do hope that there is a plan where in the end it gets back to a safe, fun place as many of us love it to be. Charging more and taking things away, letting food options get even worse, along with these unpopular changes doesnt seem the way to get there, but I do hope for the best.

 

hmm. I was otherwise looking forward to my 17th trip in March. But with all the rather negative feedback on the internet now. I have to say that the Desire has diminished a bit. So I just hope that the people I meet can make it a fantastic trip again.

 

@RonandChris thanks for chipping in. I didn't want to mention who had let me know what was going on. Will be interesting to see what's up when I get there in 3 weeks. I'm holding off on booking my annual April trip based on how things shake out in Feb.

 

When we checked in there was a note that you need to be off the property by 3:00pm or there might charge an extra night.

But they didn’t cause a fuss for us. I went down to Nancy’s for a massage at 2:50 or so, and came back at 4:00. Our transfer was around 4:30. We grabbed a latte while we waited.

This is such a garbage change. I get maybe before dinner… but 3:00 is early for a lot of flights heading back west.
