We are heading to Temptations for our first visit over Memorial day. We are currently booked in a trendy garden view room since we don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room and were concerned about the noise. For those of you frequent flyers who have stayed in both, is the bash tower worth the extra money and if so why? The bash tower is basically twice the cost of the garden room for our trip.

The main perks for the tower are :
    access to the sky bar
free room service (otherwise you have to pay $5),
expanded free porn ($10 for trip if not in tower),
breakfast at sea flirt (never been up for breakfast so can't comment)
sundeck area (meh, its nice but away from the pool)
    VIP check-in (I don't think it exists)

If these are worth another $50 to $100 a day then do the Tower. Maybe get a garden/ocean view room for your first trip and pay for a day pass to the sky bar ($20 each) if you love it then get a Bash room the next trip.

I don't think the tower rooms are 2X as expensive as a garden if you look around and are patient.

Negatives for tower: Road noise (the hallways are open to the street below and the noise comes through the doors), having to wait for elevators (sometimes one is not working), walking through the lobby to go anywhere, and the price is a higher.

When we took a tour of the tower during the time share, we noticed the tower room/balcony was smaller than our garden view

Tons of threads on this. Here is a recent one. As for noise, we've never stayed in a Garden Room, however we didn't find the Tower to be much louder than our Jacuzzi rooms around the quiet pool.

Bash Tower? Is It Worth It?

I just checked the prices for end of Oct., which is when we go. Bash Tower is $800 more for our 6 night stay over a Garden view room. Factor in we will use Sky bar for sure five times ($200), and room service probably 12 times minimum. That gets it down to only $540 more for 6 nights. Worth it for us, for the one trip a year that we can go. If we had the opportunity to go twice a year, a Garden Room would definitely be in play, but we would miss the bonuses of the Tower.

Wow, you order room service twice a day? ;) I just don't see the perks making it worth the cost. But what about the experience in the tower makes it worth the extra money. For our 6 night trip it was going to be an extra $1000 vs the $800 we paid for the garden room.

Room service, yeah easily. We really enjoy breakfast in the balcony, and their breakfast room service is good, so there’s 6. Easily get six more between lunch, supper, or a snack. It’s free and convenient, so why not?

For us the upgrade to Tower really wasn’t that much, because we were already price pointed to Plush Jacuzzi. While I’m sure not all Garden Rooms are bad, there are a couple that would make you question if you are on a Cancun vacation. That’s why we started with Plush Jacuzzi, because you knew where your room would be.

In addition to the things I stated, being in the Tower and being able to look out across the pool, and water, plus the rooms across from you, just has a nice feeling of being in the middle of it.

The Bash Tower also has a lot of nudity and free shows if you know what I mean.

That's the rumor. We've spent a lot of nights there, on the top floor and only a couple of nudes and no shows. Not looking either though.

and Restling...that's a lot of room service. We might use Room Service only a few times over a 10-12 day trip. For supper if we are too partied out from the pool and resting for Bash. Like you, we only go once a year and are willing to pay a bit extra. Smart shopping, patience, and price matching can usually get the price under $250 a night for a Bash room. I don't think I'd pay over $300 for a Bash room though, when a garden view is $170ish (?).

Our total package including flights from DFW and airport transfers was $1200 for 6 nights over memorial day. At an additional $1000 to move to the tower for those 6 nights, it would have to be that location is worth an entire additional stay.

When it comes to cruises I would take one on a balcony over 2 in an inside cabin. But the balcony on a cruise ship gives me a lot of private ocean time I can't get anywhere else. I am not sure if the tower room provides that same sort of benefit, especially if we can just pay ala-carte for everything the bash rooms gets you access to if we decide those things are needed.
